I'm watching this as I'm interested in whether it's worth it to update my configuration to match my newly installed wildpeaks.
The tire circumference value, as delivered, stored in my BdyCM module for the factory installed 225/65R17 A/S tires is 2251mm (a 1% difference).
Peeking into...
I posted this photo on a different thread, cross posting as its relevant here.

These were take offs, and have the Wildpeaks on them.
Here’s my silver XL.
I was going to rattle can my silver steelies with a metallic gray using Duplicolor, but was waiting until I bought some tires to replace the Conti’s.
I came across someone in the region who was selling some faux steelies from a Bronco Sport Badlands, minimal miles on the...

I was looking for a basic, functional awd/4wd pickup that I could tow my small boat out of some primative launch sites and wouldn’t break the bank. XL with 4K tow was a minimum. The cross traffic warning feature is great safety feature that I wanted and thats what I ordered.
cruise control...
Vintage?
shoot, I’m still trying to get use to this mid length craze. Let me tell you how it was in the day, “180’s for ladies, 210 for men…”. And Marker was best known for their “Explode-a-mats”
yeah, yeah, I know, “Settle down there boomer…”
I just picked up a 11’ 2 piece surf rod. I ain’t grooving the ski rack solution and will likely go the 6” conduit route. The conduit will be about 70” in length and clamp onto the bars with some overhang on the back end. There is an argument for going high with a cab high rack instead.
Just to add…
Here’s an image of the setup with a ski rack for either skis or a fish pole.
I’d move the forward cross bar back 3-4” to go against the rear binding to prevent the ends of the skis contacting the rear window.
for the fish poles, I’d move the whole setup forward a bit.
Maybe, I would get the higher capcity crossbars (the 86” round bars have 3 times the wall thickness compared to the shorter round bars). The basket case has something like 150# capacity. There are higher capacity cargo traya available from yakima, but heck, make your own platform.
you could...
yeah, I had the old ones. Yakima seems to have discontinued most of the round bar attachments so you’ll have to get lucky in the second hand market.
The cross bars has to be at least 58” long. I used a bar that had been trimmed to 55” and it barely protrudes from the clamp.
These clamp on...
Here’s a couple of pictures of a Yakima Bedrock (round bar) installed on my truck. In the Ford accessories catalog they label it as the low profile rack.
As I had it in the garage I installed it along with the Yakima basket case. I’m not sure on the future usage of the basket case, will need...
I guess my following comment on the difference could lead to a head debate on the merits of Lane-Centering system, but here goes.
It seems that type of system will continue to the trend of passive involvement of the driver while a vehicle is in motion. When guiding a 4000lb mass in excess of...
I must have a special edition as I do have lane centering keeping on my XL.
From the factory the assist mode was not enabled, I had to go into settings to enable it. Others have noted that as mentioned in a different thread.
From the Driver Assist screen: Driver Assist. > Lane-Keeping System...
Only 100 miles into it with my XL. Sort of like an extended test drive but with time to peek and poke around the vehicle.
My mav is an XL, Ecoboost AWD, 4K towing, CoPilot 360, 400w in cab outlet, full size spare, spray in bed liner.
I've previously owned a 1990 Nissan Hardbody and currently...
Hi all,
just wanted to say hello and get my first post out of the way.
Took delivery of my silver XL from the Dwayne Lane dealership up in Skagit this week. Just have to say, good dealing with them, no nonsense order process (July, 2020) and delivery - minimal time wasting. Sold the...
