  1. wrecked maverick

Sadly, this reminds me of the Gary Yeomans Ford - Daytona Beach "damaged in transit" Maverick. :)
  2. Speculation on 2023 Model Year Maverick

Yeah, I hope they leave off the orange accents inside the XLT. I seriously doubt the cruise control will be available on the XL.
  3. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Plaster your reviews all over the internet. Call out the salesman and sales manager by name (first and last). Don't hold back. Let the world know how horrible your transaction has been. Save someone else the anguish. Did they put a dealer decal or license plate on your truck? I hope you told...
  4. Strategy for Purchase?

You will need to get a buyer's order signed by a manager or the owner. Don't rely on anything verbal, emails. texts, quotes, etc. Get the signed buyer's order to really know what you are buying and for how much.
  5. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Two stars and four stars? Why did you go so easy on them? :)
  6. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Fabulous! Great for Arizona, but not sure if something similar applies to the other 49 states.
  7. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Agreed. A call and written complaint to Ford costs nothing but a little bit of time. And maybe some good will come from it. There is apparently a very slight chance that someone at Ford will actually follow up. Common sense would dictate that Ford should take the negative feedback and find...
  8. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

"More honest?" Perhaps "less dishonest" is more appropriate. :)
  9. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Good for you! I don't know the back story on your extended warranty issue, so I have to wonder if it's anything like the problems faced by the OP. The two points of contention may be very different. It's good to know that someone was actually victorious over a dealer. I suspect that is a very...
  10. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

This is my understanding of FoMoCo regarding their franchisees: 1. For the most part, Ford does not regulate or police their franchisees. 2. The Ford executives, board and stockholders are happy with the status quo. 3. I am unaware of Ford intervening on the behalf of any MTC member. 4. Ford...
  11. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

It's obviously a bad situation for the OP. I suspect the 3 dealerships in Hawaii are all in bed together and there are no fair deals to be had. Maybe shipping from the mainland is less costly than the "mandatory" dealer add-ons. I can't speak for anyone else, but if I were in his situation...
  12. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Illegal? Probably not. Unethical? Of course. Contacting FoMoCo is very likely a waste of time. The vast majority of car dealers are masters of shell games and deception. They are professional liars. They do it all day, every day. They train for it. From the first moment they meet you, they...
  13. PLACE YOUR BETS!!

Excellent! Maybe you will get to deal with the infamous Dillon and Mike at Gary Yeomans Ford - Daytona Beach, home of the "damaged in transit" Maverick. Perhaps GreenLady can be there to share in this very happy occasion. Please post pics!
  14. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Another great example of why I'd rather have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother who's a car salesman.
  15. Well this is different.... 7 white Mavericks

White vehicles are cooler and safer. Good choice.
  16. Well this is different.... 7 white Mavericks

Like I've been saying, thousands will go to Advance, AutoZone, O'Reilly, NAPA, Orkin, utility locator and government fleets.
  17. My Maverick is for sale on the dealerships website, what gives?

That's not your truck. Your Maverick was "damaged in transit" and can't be sold. If you have any questions just contact Gary Yeomans Ford - Daytona Beach and they can explain the process to you. :)
  18. Nebie

Congratulations on being allowed to join the Maverick Truck Club. Certainly you realize that we are a very elite group. Membership is highly coveted and not to be taken lightly. Again, congratulations on your joining our ranks. Hold your head high and know that you are now part of something...
  19. Nebie

I have a question. What does "Nebie" mean?
  20. Bribery Did Not Work!

I was told many years ago that five $20s can get you more than a $100 bill. You just have find the right hands to put them in.
