  1. Tariffs on cars trucks built in Mexico [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Billionaire President Bone Spurs doesn't care about anyone but himself.
  2. DIY HOW TO: Install adaptive cruise control in Maverick Hybrid XLT with Luxury package

Reminder to backup your stuff before recall (or any dealer scheduled work actually) work. Some people ended up with slightly different coding to get everything to work, so if you didn't backup yours, you gotta start over for the most part. Bummer.
  3. Unbelievable fuel mileage I’m really happy I got the hybrid model.

No problem getting 100% on braking with Eco. Slippery "stops" the braking IMO. Feels so unnatural and I don't see how it can increase mpg - you can emulate the effect of "coasting" easily in Eco.
  4. Dial Shifter

Senator, are you saying OP must have a "wide stance?"
  5. It happened anyway - rear-ended

Best protection from accidents - insurance. $hit happens. I was also rear ended in a one month old cactus grey Mav. Bummed, but got over it. More annoying than anything. Ended up at $15k or so in repairs!
  6. FWD Hybrid 2.5 vs AWD Turbo 2.0

I never see the need for more power on street driven vehicles. Where are you racing off to? I'll see ya at the next light. I so rarely need to floor any vehicle, but the hybrid is no slouch. I guess I do other things for excitement instead of speeding around town like a ____ ___. Curmudgeon...
  7. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

Exactly. And not likely. Failed CVs are rarely an instantaneous issue that causes loss of control.
  8. Mabett | Shield Cover for Underbody Cavity Behind Left Rear Tire Available Now!

$3 of coroplast and zip ties also works, FYI. (or free if you use political signs)
  9. Warnings turned into deadstick truck after a diagnosis

Damn, that sucks. If it falls under that TSB that's rough - missed by a few months. I had a somewhat similar situation with my mom's VW a few years back. Just outside warranty, but I found lots of people that stated their similar issue was covered even out of warranty. Certified mail, physical...
  10. What wheels are you using to replace your steelies on your XL?

17" Bronco Sport Big Bend $500 w/ tires - as new off of Craigslist Tim, you could have one of the 'younger' employees scroll FB Marketplace (or I like to use SearchTempest.com) for deals on Bronco Sport take-offs. People replace perfectly good alloys and tires all the time.
  11. Steely lug nuts

Trying to decipher: You bought steelies [OEM Mav?] to use as winters? And didn't come with lug nuts? If yes to all that - you just want someone to mail you a set of lugs from their XL. I bet there are a bunch of members that got new wheels and have their old steelie lug nuts just sitting on a...
  12. Maverick Buyback Help!

Ok, to clarify - it is this plastic cover, right? And what is wrong with it? Does the slide not function? Does the cover have a gap? It sounds like the seat belt works correctly, but there is a cosmetic issue with the cover. Not mechanical. Not likely to get lemon law'd. Just find a different...
  13. 2.0 EcoBoost engine -- overall feedback?

Heck the Mav hybrid is as quick as your current minivan (isn't that a 3.6L also?). The 2.0 Mav will be faster. On the other hand, if someone couldn't merge into traffic with an older Prius that goes 0-60 in 10 sec - it's on the driver, IMO. Any modern day vehicle is plenty fast. I think that...
  14. Maverick Buyback Help!

What is the exact issue? This seems excessive over a seatbelt adjuster. Does it not retract properly? Is it just the height adjustment? I kinda doubt the lemon law will work. Try a different dealership and let them fix the dang thing.
  15. Warnings turned into deadstick truck after a diagnosis

I would raise a stink and be sure that Ford warranties the repair. (5) The electrical drivetrain system of your vehicle is covered by the Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Unique Component coverage for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The components in the electrical drivetrain...
  16. Not as advertised? No WI-FI hot spot installed at factory.

Appears you are just outside of the 30-day return window. If you bought your Maverick at Costco and not WalMart, maybe you still have a chance. Be sure to go full Karen on the customer service person.
  17. Can't hear anyone on Android Auto phone calls

Had this issue lately - had to delete and reconnect Ford Mav bluetooth on my phone. That seemed to do it. It affected my wireless and wired AA connections, also! (I use the MA1 wireless AA around town, plug in for longer trips - both weren't working for calls)
  18. We have ended our Maverick relationship

also Driveway.com and KBB (I think most of the other ones are kaput - like Shift and Vroom)
  19. FINALLY!! An upcoming 12v battery fix for hybrids!!!

My Mav has been sitting since Friday morning, at home, while we're on a two-week long trip in our Sienna. Just got the notification today that it is in deep sleep. Took 5-6 days. Also when we use the Mav for camping - simply loading/unloading the truck with doors open for a while = deep sleep...
  20. DIY Maverick bed extender with bed cap for winter ski camping & sleeping. I use it with a diesel heater in the -25 celsius winter.

We have an AWD Sienna hybrid - the gas money saved + purchase price of a Sprinter style van lets us stay in hotels for many, many nights before we'd break even with "free" camping. Same with RV/trailer. We love to [tent] camp, but winter nights are cold and long. Really long. Hotels and...
