Reminder to backup your stuff before recall (or any dealer scheduled work actually) work.
Some people ended up with slightly different coding to get everything to work, so if you didn't backup yours, you gotta start over for the most part.
Bummer.
No problem getting 100% on braking with Eco. Slippery "stops" the braking IMO. Feels so unnatural and I don't see how it can increase mpg - you can emulate the effect of "coasting" easily in Eco.
Best protection from accidents - insurance.
$hit happens.
I was also rear ended in a one month old cactus grey Mav. Bummed, but got over it. More annoying than anything. Ended up at $15k or so in repairs!
I never see the need for more power on street driven vehicles.
Where are you racing off to? I'll see ya at the next light. I so rarely need to floor any vehicle, but the hybrid is no slouch.
I guess I do other things for excitement instead of speeding around town like a ____ ___.
Curmudgeon...
Damn, that sucks. If it falls under that TSB that's rough - missed by a few months.
I had a somewhat similar situation with my mom's VW a few years back. Just outside warranty, but I found lots of people that stated their similar issue was covered even out of warranty. Certified mail, physical...
17" Bronco Sport Big Bend
$500 w/ tires - as new off of Craigslist
Tim, you could have one of the 'younger' employees scroll FB Marketplace (or I like to use SearchTempest.com) for deals on Bronco Sport take-offs. People replace perfectly good alloys and tires all the time.
Trying to decipher:
You bought steelies [OEM Mav?] to use as winters? And didn't come with lug nuts?
If yes to all that - you just want someone to mail you a set of lugs from their XL. I bet there are a bunch of members that got new wheels and have their old steelie lug nuts just sitting on a...
Ok, to clarify - it is this plastic cover, right? And what is wrong with it? Does the slide not function? Does the cover have a gap? It sounds like the seat belt works correctly, but there is a cosmetic issue with the cover. Not mechanical. Not likely to get lemon law'd. Just find a different...
Heck the Mav hybrid is as quick as your current minivan (isn't that a 3.6L also?). The 2.0 Mav will be faster.
On the other hand, if someone couldn't merge into traffic with an older Prius that goes 0-60 in 10 sec - it's on the driver, IMO. Any modern day vehicle is plenty fast. I think that...
What is the exact issue? This seems excessive over a seatbelt adjuster. Does it not retract properly? Is it just the height adjustment? I kinda doubt the lemon law will work.
Try a different dealership and let them fix the dang thing.
I would raise a stink and be sure that Ford warranties the repair.
(5) The electrical drivetrain system of your vehicle is covered by the Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Unique Component coverage for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The components in the electrical drivetrain...
Appears you are just outside of the 30-day return window. If you bought your Maverick at Costco and not WalMart, maybe you still have a chance.
Be sure to go full Karen on the customer service person.
Had this issue lately - had to delete and reconnect Ford Mav bluetooth on my phone. That seemed to do it.
It affected my wireless and wired AA connections, also! (I use the MA1 wireless AA around town, plug in for longer trips - both weren't working for calls)
My Mav has been sitting since Friday morning, at home, while we're on a two-week long trip in our Sienna. Just got the notification today that it is in deep sleep. Took 5-6 days.
Also when we use the Mav for camping - simply loading/unloading the truck with doors open for a while = deep sleep...
We have an AWD Sienna hybrid - the gas money saved + purchase price of a Sprinter style van lets us stay in hotels for many, many nights before we'd break even with "free" camping. Same with RV/trailer.
We love to [tent] camp, but winter nights are cold and long. Really long. Hotels and...
