Why do Toyota hybrids stay in sport / eco / normal?
Eco on the Mav doesn't mess with stability or traction control - slippery mode might? Slippery sure kills the brakes. Maybe it is modes besides eco that is why Ford doesn't allow memory. Still lame. Should allow default to be normal or eco...
One of the main reasons I like / buy hybrids and PHEV/EV, is the gas savings. High priced vehicles just aren't worth it to me and no amount of fuel savings ever pays off.
You can buy a cheaper, more economical vehicle or a used gas guzzling off-road vehicle that is way more capable - or both...
A standard filter can make it 10k miles (or whatever the OLM is telling you is your OCI).
Also that video seemed to focus on tarnish a lot. Maybe a stuck ring(s)? What about actual wear? Was the engine that ran on conventional out of spec? Burning oil? etc? Who here is going to keep their...
Nope. Modern engines are highly unlikely to clog a filter. There are also high capacity filters available, for those that worry.
If this is the "info" those videos provide, that's all I need to know.
Ok, so it was tuned. But not when engine go boom.
Try and get it warrantied, but anyone who tunes their vehicle should know of the risks they are taking. There's always a chance the dealer won't care / look closely if they want the warranty work...
These must be discontinued / closeout...

Agreed - all the discussion on cash vs loan and interest rates, assumes that it is cash in the bank / savings / CDs and not in retirement accounts.
And I'd go so far to say that if you haven't been maxing out your retirement accounts (Roth at a minimum, plus your other deferred options), maybe...
Nope - b/c I am a cheap-ass, I was able to pay cash for my Mav. I wouldn't want a more expensive vehicle - I prefer early retirement instead.
Bogleheads - the forum where millionaires tout the longevity of their 1993 Camrys. Like any forum, don't take all their advice to heart.
VTSAX* has returned 36% over the same timeline, dividends reinvested.

I recommend Bogleheads forum for the financially curious here. The poster that mentioned his great gamble on Nvidia and Apple needs to think about diversifying!

From this thread: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/key-cutting-for-keyfobs.46829/
I bought: Strattec 5923293 HU101 transponder key. It will start the truck and unlock it (just not via fob button). And can be DIY programmed.
I have this and with how often it messes up the speed limit, I sure wouldn't want to rely on my vehicle changing the speed by itself!!!
It is also never 100% accurate in Google Maps (GPS / tagging) - so even with Ford Blue cruise I wouldn't trust it. Plus construction areas, etc.
A bit ironic...
The A/T trails are a good, solid tire, with lots of great reviews. I think I'll go with a competitor for lighter weight (higher hybrid MPG), though, or the best price, which would help offset mpg loss...
