Don't bother.
It's really a hobby. You won't learn anything that's all that useful.
Stick to the oil change interval the truck tells ya, with synthetic (required for hybrid) and worry about more important things.
Well my truck was hecho en Mexico, so I don't mind mixing global parts for better prices.
Almost all the upgrades are made overseas - plastic bits for interior, lighting kits, most tonneau covers, etc.
I think there's no list bc it would be hard to produce and pretty short.
I'm a cheap, penny pincher... but would never throw off-brand tires on my vehicles.
Cost per mile is not much more when you get a quality, lasting tire.
Walmart cheap crap is fine if you're selling or turning in your lease.
Do they *have* to live there?
As in 736 sq ft, new build, apartment? No.
They could have roommates, they could find a smaller, cheaper, older apartment. They could commute farther.
All the things I did for many years before ever buying a new vehicle and later a 'house' (condo - b/c its SoCal...
Under warranty - I'd have the dealer top it off to save $ buying matching coolant and to have it on the record. Minus is that its a waste of time to visit the dealer.
Yup. I trust the "nannies" more than other driver's abilities.
My Mav wouldn't have been rear ended if the other vehicle was newer and using ACC and/or had AEB. More safety features throughout the "public fleet" can prevent accidents and keep insurance rates lower - but only if a lot of vehicles...
No cell phones in 1952, let alone so many other "standard" things in our lives now.
The first flat screen TV cost like $20k - now we have multiple ones in a home, even if you're not "rich".
Homes are larger than before.
Etc, etc.
Americans love to CONSUME. That drives up prices. Want less...
Whew - DIY is the way to go. (y)
I'm annoyed if I pay for ceramic tint and we don't keep the vehicle long. $1k for ceramic coating would really annoy me (my cheapness), especially on a $24k truck.
I barely do a spray wax once a year - wish I motivated to ceramic coat our vehicles.
Yeah, they effed up. Looks like it ONLY fits retractable.

Really - no returns on the Yakima b/c it was on sale? That sucks.
Where's the data? How often to change? How much longer does your engine last with 1k OCI vs 5k vs 10k? Guess all the people that follow the OLM are just grinding their engines to an early death - b/c "viscosity breakdown".
I agree that change is difficult. It is why so many people hold onto...
Whelp - my Mav screen is small and dim. I'd take bright (for sun) any day.
It's not the size that's the issue - its that it can't get [brightness] up enough that matters.
Maybe add a link to the C&D article and update your OP to include a note that the article you read seems ... not true? Many people read a post or two and reply and will never know - kinda how crazy theories keep spreading...
