  1. Trailer hitch brake light

What brand/model bulb did you use? And where did you get it?
  2. ForScan mod - enable all drive modes: eco, sport, mud and snow (confirmed working)

FX4 also have heavy-duty coolant system, transmission cooler, lower differential gearing and a bigger screen in the dash...
  3. Fuel Consumption shocking

I was commenting on the OP post, not comparing to a hybrid. For more comparing though: I get about 27mpg average with much more 'city' driving than highway but easily breaks into the low 30' on the highway. Keep in mind the FX4's have a lower differential gearing than the other models/packages...
  4. Fuel Consumption shocking

That looks about right. I have a '24 FX4 and on an early road trip (less than 5k miles at the time) from Tacoma WA to Post falls ID I got 33mpg there and a hair over 36mpg's on the way home..! Held it on cruise control at 70 mph as much as possible both way. I was rather surprised too!
  5. What's your "One" Pet Peeve

I'm pretty annoyed with the infotainment setup also! The most mind-blowing thing about it is that it's guaranteed just a matter of software that needs a bit of fixing. Something that would take a handful of nerds a few days/weeks and cost nothing in Ford's budget. But it's been four years, zero...
  6. Anyone replaced OEM back up light bulbs with extra bright LED bulbs?

I haven't gotten either actually. A bit spendy and the OEM's work good in conjunction with the camera.
  7. What mods to your Maverick have increased fuel mileage?

Yeah that not why nitrogen is used! It's to keep a more consistent pressure since nitrogen is less sensitive to temperature changes. Nitrogen molecules are also bigger than air (which makeup is many different gasses) that makes it 'leak' less, also contributing to a more stable air pressure. To...
  8. 🚨 2025 Maverick Debut! Pricing, Tech Specs, Order Guide, Wallpaper Photos, Videos

Not gonna happen. Much easier and cheaper to do software than hardware and also much bigger profits in selling a new screen and labor to replace it than one knob... since if one function in the whole system fails, you have to replace the whole unit! The loss of the 'analog' gauges, engine power...
  9. 2024 Azure Gray Maverick XLT Hybrid with 18" drag wheels and Yokohama blue earth tires. Photos.

Looks great! Bummer they didn't use black balancing weights though...
  10. No 240W USB C? (Recommended USB C for Android Auto?)

It makes sense they changed it since otherwise they'll let out all the magic pixie smoke from the wires!
  11. No 240W USB C? (Recommended USB C for Android Auto?)

One thing not mentioned by anyone here about charging 240 watts thru USB, (which seems to be possible nowadays...) is that it's likely only possible from a charger for wall outlets, NOT a vehicle! There's only 12 volts in vehicles (reality is more since most charger around 13.5 - 13.9V) and that...
  12. Shade of Orange Interior?

Anyone have a paint code, or such, that matches the color? Been thinking about adding some stuff and want it to match existing orange... 😎

    Pacific Northwest Mavericks

Cool trip to break-in both the truck and you to it! What milage did you get? (Read that the hybrids are really good, I just need AWD, and also didn't want to wait a year and a half...)
  14. Rear wheelwell opening fix.

Been thinking about that also. Never bad with extra storage! 45 bucks sounds way cheap for an OEM part though...

    Hi there fellow GritCity neighbor!
  16. Rear wheelwell opening fix.

I thought about using a drop too, have quite a bit laying around, but wanted something that didn't 'stick out'. But shaping some aluminum or stainless would be easy to make an even better fit. This was real quick and will see how it works first.
  17. Rear wheelwell opening fix.

Looked at this and fought it was way to much work and to complicated.
  18. Rear wheelwell opening fix.

I think it will crack more, buy looking at this as a testbed to a big extent. Something a bit softer like ABS or even rubber would be better, and will be sourced if this works as thought. Main thing to see if it's keeps mud out of the rear!
  19. Rear wheelwell opening fix.

Noticed when out Off-Roading some that the left taillight got hit by a ton of dirt. A well known issue I learned poking around the forum. Found some solutions, but all seamed rather over complicated. So I did this! *Got some 'Mabett' mudflaps. (Which likely fixes 90% of the issue.) *One 'Optix'...
  20. Got dirty for real - First time!

Indeed it seems to be! Love the 'Interceptor' rims!
