OHHH NOOOOOZ, you're going to hell for disabling your noise maker! You're clearly a horrible person with complete disregard for what the government wants and want to murder helpless pedestrians. There's no way we're capable of watching out for people on our own. Don't you know that? How do...
I honestly don't come at these discussions from an emissions standpoint. I come at it from a functional standpoint. PHEV, EV, and combustion engines are options we have, and they are NOT A SOLUTION to anything. They are merely options, and the best option will ultimately win. They all have...
They seem to be using old Gateway computers on these trucks :ROFLMAO: Man, I sure do long for the days when the computer only controlled the engine! If a car company made vehicles where the only computer was for engine control, and everything else was analog, they wouldn't be able to make them...
Oh yeah, I basically had to cut out every bit of the factory "bracket" part the oem tweeter snapped into. We'll just say a 60 watt soldering iron with a custom tip was involved, lol. In other words, I turned my soldering iron into a hot knife, and it was not fun to do. The top of the Dynaudio...
You would not need a resistor if you disconnected the tweeters, because they feed from the same wires that go to the door speakers. A resistor would only be needed if you disconnected the door speakers and the tweeters. The computer gets mad, if it doesn't detect a speaker on one of the...
Yes, you could just unhook the dash tweeters, since they feed directly off the wires for the door speakers. Your sound stage would be be compromised by doing so, but you could do it for sure.
Looks like a good option for some folks. I don't know why so many people of forums have to be such A-holes about every damn post. More options for our trucks is always a good thing! Thanks for posting @RIVAL 4x4 :)
I won't call you dumb man, it's better to ask when you don't know :) DSP is a Digital Signal Processor. It allows full control of the sound equalization for every channel, crossover frequency control, time alignment(this a huge one that most people overlook), speaker phase, and a few other...
I forgot about this thread! I did end up putting tweeters in the dash, albeit with modified grills. I also heavily modified the dash cutouts to fit some larger Dynaudio tweeters. I modified the doors to fit the Dynaudio 6.5's, which have a massive cast basket on them. The fact is, you'll...
That's a good question. I mean an analog oil pressure gauge can be added to almost any engine, assuming you have a way/place to attach it. It would just be a matter of tying into the oil line somewhere and running a temporary line/gauge into the cab for observation. In the case of our trucks...
Sounds like they still have no idea, and are going down the chain hoping they find the issue. Sometimes, that's all you can do though. If I were trying to figure it out, I'd temporarily install an analog oil pressure gauge and see if it correlated to the oil pressure light coming on or not...
There's definitely something weird going on here. I'm not the most observant guy, when it comes to the forum, but I don't recall seeing anyone else having this issue? I deal with sensors a lot in my line of work(mostly photo sensors, and some resistance), and the odds of getting 2 defective...
I don't want to jinx myself, but I had the recalls done on my '23(July 23 build) and so far so good. I've probably driven around 10,000 miles since then. I ain't gonna lie, seeing these issues others had after the recalls has had me sweating a little bit. That, combined with wondering if I'm...
The guy at Sound Decisions makes them in WI. For some reason, they never actually put this on their main site, instead it just says coming soon... Here's the link to the Maverick specific FB page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089569042381
They also make dual sub boxes for the...
