I'm guessing it's the 85+ more than the bikes. Looking forward to the pictures. Hope you have a safe but great time.

No surprise driving 85+mph from Vegas my mpg was about 21 with two bikes. The AWD paid off in some soft fireroads ...more images when i return home...

I have a 2025 XLT Hybrid that I love.
My wife and I several times a year travel thought southern Utah ( we live in SLC)
After several trips we are not yet tired of the beauty of this part of our country.
Recently you have to be extremely careful with flash floods and mud.
I mounted all terrain tires on my Maverick and so far I never got stuck (of course I do not take unnecessary risks).
Probably the turbulences caused by the bikes are responsible for your lower gas mileage, I get between 35/40 on Highway ( I drive very fast) and 30 off road.
Enjoy Utah, this is beautiful state.

From your photo you appear to be near the town of Virgin and town of Rockville south of Utah SR-9, possibly the Smithsonian Mesa road?

You didn't mention whether your Maverick was an AWD Ecoboost or a hybrid. Assuming it's an EB as you should have been getting much higher MPG if it was a hybrid.

We drive from home here in Southwestern Utah to the Salt Lake Valley and roundtrips all the time at 80 MPH average in the mid 30s MPG consistently.

My profile shows I own an Ecoboost...I am not obsessed about MPG. It is what it is. The are pros and cons for both and very happy with my Ecoboost choice.

This photo was taken out by the Hurricane Cliffs...After meeting some cool dudes from Cali and showing me some good riding...I headed over to Gooseberry for great riding and visuals...

INTERESTING QUIRK!!

The next day I headed up to Zion National Park to grab some photos early before the deluge of tourists make it almost unbearable...As I got into Springdale, the Mav triggered a front right tire pressure alert....I was not expected any warnings for awhile with a new rig...hahahaha

Sort of fortunately, I did have a battery tire pump with custom pressure settings...then it was too high and then too low...I think because of the lower temps and the altitude, it whacked out the computer sensor...once I got back to St. George to play some more pickleball I was showing low in the right front and rear and with my inflator got things back to normal and cleared the alert.

Once offloaded all my gear, off to the car wash to get this red mud be gone. The first pass was 80% successful but I will probably need to go to the manual car wash this weekend with a spray guy to get ride of the rest.

Overall, luv how comfortable this is for road trips and the sound dampening was better than I expected. Call me a satisfied customer!
