My Ford app says I have no recalls. Can I trust this app???

My app said I had a recall, after getting it in sync with WIFI it no longer says I have the trailer program recall. However the NHTSA site says I still have a recall for it

My app says nothing about recalls including the trailer module one yet the website shows the trailer module one. Doing the VIN lookup also showed the same thing.

No, the app says I don;t either yet Ford mailed me a letter for the trailer light recall and it shows on the Ford.com site for my Maverick.

This is more of a reason why I'm glad I got rid of mine. I knew there was a problem with mine since I kept hearing a clunk in the driver front suspension every time I made a turn at low speeds or pulled into the driveway. This has to be correlated. I brought it in to the dealer and, of course, they couldn't replicate it. It made me concerned long-term what would happen since there was a clunk that shouldn't have been there.

You'd think that they'd at least let you know if their POS vehicle is safe or not without spying on you.

I'm confused are you talking about this form or are you talking about the NHTSA website?
Ford doesn't own The Maverick truck Forum.

if I go to the ford website and try to see if there are any recalls that apply based on my VIN I get a page that says "Access forbeidden" in some browsers and just a blank page with a spinning "status" circle that never loads on other browsers. I'm in Canada sadly so it would be ford.ca specifically that no longer lets me check. I used to check regularly but they changed something at their end that now doesn't let me.

So I cannot lookup online whether this - or any of the several other recalls - apply to me.

If I ever get around to putting enough miles on it for the 1st service they can deal with all the outstanding recalls then. Unless of course if breaks down and strands me again first and needs to be towed again...

Might just be your adblocker, I have no issue with my adblocker (uBlock Origin) also Canadian using Ford Canada's site. Are you also using No script?

I am outside of North America but although I was able to check the recall site, I was also able to get on my back (being old) and take flash “on” photos thanks to the helpful information provided on MTC. Sticking my index finger into the location of the drawing supplied here I feel better about driving it at this point.

The Canadian Government website does not go by VIN, just lists the recalls based on model year, so that won't be much help to him.

The easiest options for him, a) temporarily disabled the blockers, or b) call a local Ford dealership and have them check.

Would calling the dealership and asking for them to look it up be “spying”? The place it was purchased from would already have his info I imagine.

Chances are it isn't.
A very small number are on that list, and it seems to be more on the higher trim levels.
Call the dealer and have them look to see if your vehicle is on the list.
Not that hard to do.
