Just saw Tim from Kansas.
He said that Lariat Lux package has lost the spray in liner option! Will get a drop in liner instead. This is only for unscheduled orders.
Did you see it?
He said Ford is doing this to satisfy orders.
I am very disappointed in this last minute change. I really like the spray look better.

I'm curious how orders have exceeded availability for the spray in liner.

Is it the material or labor?

Moving forward this is correct.

Here is the exact Timestamp from the @fordvideoguy YT video: .

However, your wording is off. Ordered but unscheduled vehicles will still get spray in as long as their order was done (and received a ford confirmation email to be safe) BEFORE the cut-off date. New orders AFTER the cut-off will not get the spray in liner and will receive the drop-in.

This only applies to new orders after the cutoff date (arbitrarily 11/1) , but ultimately he said look on your DORA (build sheet/order sheet). If it says spray in then you get spray in. If it says drop in then you get drop in.

Big oof - Ford should have instead shipped them without a drop in and paid the dealerships to do the spray in liner instead.
Most likely falls to $.

Ford gets the liners in bulk at a set price. Gets it's spray in done in bulk at a set price. Having the dealer send the truck out on arrival, I'm thinking the vast majority don't do their own spray ins, exceeds the dollar amount of either of the above options so it won't be an option.

No ABSOLUTELY NOT, take it all off and decrease my cost by the 500 bucks, or whatever the cost, and I'll get it done at Line-X. That is ridiculous to force us to accept an inferior product. Just build the damn truck without either and reduce my price and that'll work for me. Unbelievable, is their 1st year in business or what. Ford CONTACT your customers or at least the dealers and allow US to make that choice for ourselves. I'm feeling like Rodney Dangerfield here, we're getting no respect, no respect at all:) Turns out I ordered the XLT AWD in July so it doesn’t affect the order I placed, so I guess I gave a pre rant for all of you who are affected by the new terms. So feel free to copy and paste the parts you need;) oh her Maverick has a build date of December 2nd now (Supposedly;) instead of Nov 1st or Nov 9th or…..;) we’re all almost at the end of the wait period and soon will be the, umm was this a good idea period;) Good luck to us all and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.

@fordvideoguy can you clarify your wording?

Here you say "scheduled orders" that have it on the build sheet. But what about us that are not yet scheduled, yet our DORA (from June/July) has said spray-in the whole time?

Did you mean to say "scheduled and unscheduled orders with spray-in on DORA"?

If spray in bedliner is in your unscheduled order, you will get spray bedliner. Basically, they will build it the way it was ordered. Goes for any option you ordered.

I think definitely labour as they are clearly having difficulty keeping up (see: 2022/23 anticipated delivery dates)

The line can probably only do X percent of vehicles with spray in bed liners. As an example 50 percent or every other vehicle the robot cycles in to spray. If 2 back to back come down the line they have to slow process down to accommodate spray in bed process. This is just a simple example, I don't know the real details. Ford will probably need to add some robots to accommodate larger volume with spray in beds. . .If I had to bet they probably thought less then 50 percent wanted spray in bed liner.

I agree with others; I have no objection to an aftermarket spray-in. I just don't want to take delivery of a drop-in that I'm going to throw away (and don't much care for paying for a drop-in that I don't want).

Hope that my unscheduled lux is indeed delivered with spray-in as Tim has said. Will probably slow my delivery but nothing I can do about it. Sure not going to drop the Lux package at this point.
