Really curious if the 25 Hybrids come standard with an AGM battery.

I just accepted defeat and paid out of pocket for one this week after too many flat batteries and even an engine failure (computer thought the 12v was still dead even after jump).

If they make this stock, it means they are basically admitting that this should have been the standard all along. Hopefully others will get a replacement (not really going to admit that but you get the point).

Personally, I was sick of waiting for Ford to admit / do something. Just hoping others will get sorted.

Yes, they do. There are a couple of threads that talk about this (even with pictures).

Sorry ahead of time, but I'm taking this personal now!

How are dealers going to say that the 2024 (and before) battery is "fine" now when people come in with energy saver mode all the time and a flat battery every month or so?

Many dealers are ignorant of this issue. Dealers should check forums like MTC for real life issues with the Mavericks!

Congrats!!!! I’m waiting on my 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD in Space White with the Black Spence Pkg. Curious??? Not seeing front license plate bracket. Where is it? I have told my dealership I hope they don’t put them up in the Space White colored plastic area. That would upset me.

We just leased a 24 Escape ST-Line for my son. It has the same "Gage Cluster" screen and large 13" center screen found in some of the trim levels of the 25 Maverick. The gage cluster screen is OK, but the resolution is not the greatest. The configuration options are limited compared to other vehicles. I believe the temp and fuel gages could be better considering the screen size. With the larger center screen, all the HVAC controls have been moved to the screen. If you want to switch airflow (between defrost, floor or dash vents) you have to press the climate button on the screen then look at the screen and press on what you want. If you want to adjust fan speed you have to press a button on the screen then use the screen to adjust the fan speed. While driving I find this distracting. I'm 51 years young and really appreciate the physical turn dials for temp and fan speed in my Maverick. I also appreciate the physical buttons for the HVAC controls. My son is accustomed to doing everything by screens and no big deal to him. I do have to say that the resolution and animations of the center screen in the Escape is worlds better than what I have in my Maverick. The Sync system is also worlds better (never understood whey Ford didn't make Sync 3 standard in XLT trim for Maverick). The only physical buttons are for changing vehicle settings, max defrost, disable auto start/stop and drive mode. As far as I can tell those are the physical buttons in the Maverick that has the larger center screen. Just some real world observations!

Get ready to be disappointed pretty sure they're going in the same spot as the previous years.

I asked the dealership if it isn’t delivered to them with the bracket already on….. let me put it on. I wish our state didn’t require a front plate.

I agree I hate it on the paint but sadly that's where they designed it to go. I like how they designed it better on the previous f-150s where if you had a V8 it went in the center of the lower bumper opening and on the EcoBoost it went on the driver side of the bumper pad. On my 16 it went in the center but shortly after delivery I took it off, as it just snapped in place.

Space White looks great! Also thrilled that it's an AGM battery, I was budgeting some extra cash to replace that early on when mine arrives.

OP, you may not be used to them yet, but how are the HVAC controls to use, in practice?
Only driven it once so far, my spouse has been taking it everywhere.

Physical controls are preferred for sure. I'm sure I'll get used to it over time. A few quick thoughts:

- The HVAC controls stay visible at all times no matter what screen you are on - at least with Android Auto. So it is nice that you don't have to go digging through menus to find them. They are always there.
- There's no off button. You have to click on the fan speed, then drag it down to off to turn HVAC off. I find this a bit annoying personally. Maybe there's another way. Would prefer a single button click to turn off instead of a multi-action.

I had a 2024 on order which I cancelled when I learned about the 2025 refresh. I am so glad I waited. Having AWD is going to be amazing and opens the door for some camping activities I would have been really nervous to do on a 2WD. Having 4k tow for the same reason really pushes the options for usability. Small things:
- Love the push button start. Have this on my other vehicle, and I personally love it. Super spoiled now.
- Both the driver and front passenger door have the keyless entry which my other car also has. I absolutely love this feature. I never touch my keys anymore.
- I love the big infotainment screen
- I like that the driver screen is bigger and digital as well (in theory, though i have a few gripes which is mostly UI/software related)
- I like the look of the refresh

Big updates for the 2025 that for me, are well worth it and substantially outweigh the smaller cons like no physical HVAC controls

First 2025 we’ve seen on MTC!

Congrats, looks great! Can’t wait for mine!

upgraded CV axles, AGM battery, upgraded HF55, independent rear suspension, AWD, sync 4, new screens, 4K tow.

So many awesome upgrades
💯 I am so glad I waited. Cancelled my 2024 pre-order last year when I heard about the 2025 refresh. Went on faith as there were no details at the time. Was crossing fingers for AWD, improved towing, better tech options - and we got it all!

That looks like Space White. Looks awesome in that color.
Many philosophers have said that white is not a color.

Merry White Christmas.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! I saw your original Reddit post as well as someone on Facebook posting about their delivery of a Desert Sand Lariat Hybrid AWD. It's nice to see the Space White as well. I'm curious to see what it looks like in sunlight. Judging from the photos in the shade, it looks very similar to Cactus Grey which makes sense considering that's its replacement. Also, the front fascia doesn't look as bad as we made it out to be. Looks pretty good actually. The new screen and gauges are a welcome addition, especially knowing the Sync 4 is in it and it's wireless. We'll be looking forward to future posts on longevity and usability considering you're the first one so far. Enjoy it and thank you for posting!
Thanks! Yes it looks very similar to the Cactus Grey. Take Cactus Grey, remove the green hue so that it is just grey and that is the color.

Have to say, the wireless works great so far. Zero issues. Paired up super fast. The salesman was blown away by how fast everything paired up (Android Auto and Ford Pass app). Was easy to add both phones. No hiccups either so far!

I didn't get one? Maybe it is in the truck somewhere? No front license plate required in the state I bought it from.
