As soon as fall hit and temps dipped i picked up dash noises and remote features disabled messages constantly. I took it to the dealer. They said they hear the dash rattle and need it for a week to fix. They reset the BMS and said it alerts come back they gotta call Ford. Alerts keep coming and will be looked at when the dash comes out. I am waiting for the dealer to have a loaner available to take it back in and we had a lot of rain. I heard water sloshing in the dash and water leaking on my rubber floor mats on the passenger side. Cabin air filter had water in it. Is there hope to gets this stuff resolved?

There is always hope. The important thing is to make sure the dealer has a good reputation on repair work and to have frank and honest conversations and take nothing for face value. Trust, but verify as my favorite President used to say.

These are serious issues when water and electronics mix. Play it carefully.

If there's water sloshing about in the HVAC system or if the carpeting is wet/damp, that's an issue you do not want to postpone getting fixed. If you do, you end up with another serious problem - MOLD.

1. Dash rattle: it could be fixed under this: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/tsb-–-24-2317-2022-2024-ford-maverick-pickups-may-rattle-over-rough-roads.56103/

I would not let them pull the dash for any reason.

2. Leak could be due to a misplaced or missing plastic piece under the cowling. Others on here have had that issue.
I brought up that TSB to the service writer and he said that's not the same issue. I would think the tech would have searched for that also.

I agree. Hopefully they get it in and fix these issues. It only has 3000 mile on it. I really like the truck but the build quality is turning out to be poor at best.

The dash rattle has been the biggest annoyance I've had since getting my Mav. I took mine in for that reason a couple of years ago, and the dealer said they couldn't find anything. They probably just didn't know how to fix it. Now they do, thanks to the service bulletin. I called Ford, the agent gave me a ref. # and said I'd be good to go with the dealer. Kudos to Ford!

I called Ford and opened a case for these issues. Hopefully they communicate with the dealership once they are able to get me in. The rattle is very annoying, but the water intrusion and constant low battery voltage is very concerning also. Truck is brand new. Only 3000 miles. I do not have the kudos to Ford feeling right now.

I’m confident they will get it all fixed for you. I’ve been very impressed with their responsiveness since I’ve owned my MAV.

Busted heater core. When the temp drops the cabin car heater turned on to warm the cabin. The core ruptured causing fluid in the dash. This happened to me in a different car.

Hello! Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into these concerns with your Maverick?

My Maverick is in the shop now going on 6 weeks and they are trying to find the leak. Window was good but now they are saying they have to replace the heater fan because it is bad from water. Dash is being pulled this week and still looking for the cause. Inside of my truck is moldy so carpet is being replaced too. I have a 2023 with 12,000 miles on it. Good luck

Its such a shame the poor quality Ford is pumping out. Take it into service and get the run around. I took mine in before Thanksgiving and have been waiting for a loaner since. Two weeks ago in a rain storm, i poured about 6 ounces of water out of the cabin air filter. Plus what was on the floor and in the hvac system. I been calling the service writer twice a week about no interior lights and dash rattles and water intrusion. Such a lack of urgency from them. Then i find out the service writer over seeing my issue no longer works there and no one knows whats going on with my truck. They want big money for these vehicles but have amnesia when there is is an issue.
I got a call to bring mine in Monday and i wish i had the confidence that it will be taken care of, but im not impressed with the service department at my dealership. Hopefully they surprise me. Hopefully your Maverick issues are resolve too.

My dealer doesnt even do their own work. They have it farmed out to a private body shop. In 5 weeks it has been in their shop only 3 days and the moldy carpet is still in it. I cannot get my service advisor to call, I have to go in to talk to them and they keep saying they dont know. Very frustrated with this situation. On Monday I will be calling Ford to see if they can speed up the process. Good luck with your truck.
