What’s up with the back up camera repair?
I heard a rumor that there’s a class action lawsuit against Ford for the back up camera problems and delays in releasing the Mavericks.
Does anyone know where I can sign up for that?
I would think that a big company like Ford would have some good IT guys that could fix it quickly. What up Ford?

🤔
Since you were the first one to bring it up.
I think we'll delegate you to do the research on it.
All those in favor 🙋

.😁

Ford is working as fast as they can to get a fix figured out, tested, approved by the proper Government agency. Cuz they're losing money if they can't sell vehicles. LOTS.
NOW Ford is working on it as hard as they can.
Seems they sat on their hands and kind of ignored it until they got a $169,000,000 fine from the government and told to quit selling the vehicles until it was fixed.
Nothing like a big Government Fine to get a big corporation to move something from a simmer on the back burner to a rolling boil on the front burner.

I haven't heard anything about a class action lawsuit, but you'd have to have experienced some qualified legal "injury" to join the class, if there is one. If your truck hasn't been delayed and you haven't had an accident tied to the camera, it doesn't seem you'd qualify.

he said Ford might just replace the camera rather than a software fix.
Was this just speculation by the dealer or did the dealer hear something from their Ford rep?

My truck is one of the models included in the recall. I've been driving it for 2 months and have experienced zero issues with the backup camera or infotainment screen freezing. That said, it's possible it's happened and I just didn't notice. I've been driving a 99 accord for the last 15 years. I still rely on the old fashioned method of looking behind me out of habit.

the 'good' IT guys (and gals) are the ones that are the root cause of about 80 percent of the recalls due to either bad coding/bad testing/ or some rush into production
