Was sitting at a stop light yesterday when I F250 let his foot off the brake and rammed into my 22 XL. Still working with his insurance so will let you know more later . When I went to adjust the seat back a bit it was stuck in that position. Forced it back and it moves currently. The passenger seat was the same way . Anyone else have stuck seats ?

Pictures of impact and or your seats would be helpful.

However there is at least one documented instance of catastrophic seat failure in a rear end maverick collision, but that doesn’t match your scenarios.

The more details you provide the more help the forums can offer.

I think on MTC there has been a couple people/posts that mentioned something with the seats "collapsing". which is getting worrisome that its a design flaw and going to be a big issue.

Only way to know is unfortunately more rear-ended maverick with similar results... I also dont know how they do crash testing for vehicles, is being rear ended one of the crash tests you think?

I know the track has been bent.
More than likely if your seat has been bent from the impact.
It may have tweaked the unibody.

Here is a picture of a seat back collapse from a rear impact.

Because of this nifty design feature.
Make sure there are no 8-15 year-olds in the backseat if the seat back collapses you're going to smash them in the face with your head probably breaking their nose and knocking all of their front teeth with the back of your head.
It's ll good because you the driver remain safe.

It's not a design flaw. It's working as intended. If OP's seat runners are torqued then was a significant enough impact to warrant it.

that is not working as intended. You are conflating the twisted seat track with a members outright seat failure that caused significantly worse injuries than if the seat had functioned properly.

I have been hit by 3 drunk drivers and not one time did my seat “collapse” working as intended, as you say, throwing me into the rear seat.

I have seen a few videos of Maverick test crashes. But, do not recall seeing a "rear impact"...

I dont think the back of the seat, should deform that way either... 😮

The seats did not collapse....they twisted to the point they had to be forced back in the track.

I feel your Maverick will be totaled.
I guarantee the track has also been bent.

Holy crap

I assume the authorities are on this? This is a huge deal.

Right.
I understood your first post.
It doesn't change the fact. The force required for the seat with you strapped in, to be knocked/twisted out of the track is a pretty hard hit.
I hope all were safe.

From what I understand this is an "intentionally designed safety feature." It cushions the impact to the driver's head, neck and back, by allowing the seat back to collapse backward.
Disregarding and screwing the back seat passenger. Especially if it's a younger person who does not require a safety seat but yet is not a full size adult.

Nobody said your seats collapsed.

Because you’ve provided no details we’ve been trying to fill in the gaps with some additional info.

Seems you aren’t looking to provide anymore either.
