I have a build date for a MY25 XLT Hybrid order and with consideration of the current XL and XLT hold, is it too late to change the XLT to a Lariat once scheduled?

Are you talking about the new year hold for quality control, or the hold on '24 sales due to the backup camera issue? If it's the backup camera issue on XL/XLT, I believe that only impacts '24 models, so shouldn't have any impact on '25 deliveries since the '25s have a completely different display and software running the displays.

But if you have a build date, it's probably too late to cancel/change.

@ShadowBlack XL440 there's no need to change your trim level, as this recall and stop/hold delivery applies to 2022-2024 model years only.

Yes it's too late. Trim is tied to the vin. The hold is on every 25 Maverick not just the xL and XLT. I think you are getting the 24 Maverick recall confused with the 25 delivery delay.

There is no recall hold on 25 xl and xlt (that’s the 22-24) but there is a 6 week quality check hold on all 25s.

I have a related question...

I placed a deposit on the 2025 Lariat hybrid AWD + 4k tow on Nov 1, 2024.
I'm still waiting for the order number and sales code from the dealer.

I'm now considering adding the BAP. Can I do this 4 weeks after placing the order?
Or must I cancel my original order and start over again?

As long as it hasn't scheduled for production you can make changes to your order. Once an order is placed the dealer gives the order an order number and they should know their dealer number. You need to ask for a copy of the order sheet and a DORA is they will give it to you. The DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) would verify that order was placed.

Thanks Tim, I appreciate the information.
