I am in SD also. Which LineX dealer did you contact? The local one I called laughed when I asked if they would match the dealer price.
RE: Which LineX dealer = LineX of Escondido on Auto Park Way. I told him I would pay in cash if he would match Ford's price of $495. I got a receipt and the LineX warranty. This was in October 2022 for my EB, 2 years ago. I am presently awaiting my 2024 hybrid which is in production, I have the window sticker. The hybrid has the Lux pkg which includes SIBL so I won't need to go aftermarket on this one.

Was told by my dealer that once you have a scheduled build date no further changes can be made. Take it for what it's worth. Ford scheduled your vehicle based on parts availability from your order so any changes would throw off that process.
As far as I remember once u get a build date and vin # issued... Its kinda locked in u can't change anything after that point
I picked up my converted 22 to a 23 order last Feb.. Had the dealership get the 2 front windows tinted to match the back and had them get a sprayed in liner also... Was. Kinda free in my mind had 2250 off msrp.. And the windows and liner were 750 added back in

I think the only thing you can change after a scheduled build date is the color.

You, or rather the dealer, may submit a scheduled order build change request on pretty much anything so long as it doesn't change the body code (trim level, powertrain, FWD/AWD). Emphasis on the request. The factory scheduling reviews it and accepts it or not. For instance @GreenLady added CP360 Assist and SIBL on theirs after scheduling.

Considering you’ll get more choices with aftermarket (color, areas sprayed, etc…), you’ll likely pay the same price or less by going aftermarket, have access to touchups later if needed, NOT have to worry about how the “factory” option resulted in holes in gas tanks and a recall (yes I realize it’s over and done with but man what a screw up!)—I’d stick with aftermarket. And you won’t have to worry about losing your place in the queue. That’s what I am doing by going with LineX. I’m even going to have mine custom color-matched to my truck—BLACK!
