They know there's problems with the axels, and 12 volt battery, but they hope they won't be forced to do anything about it! We will see when the 2025's models start commenting if they still have rattles, and other things we mentioned in this forum.

They know there's problems with the axels, and 12 volt battery, but
Has there been any information that specifically identified the issue with those parts in the axles are failing because xyz?
Bad materials?
Bad craftsmanship?
Bad engineering?

What % warrants recall?
Going to guess we see more complaints on a website like this ( because generally people take the time to complain/ vent more so than acknowledging good reviews)

Of all the real world users. Don't know what the real world issue percentage is.

Generally speaking, yes. It does take a while to identify issues, their cause, and a solution.

With new model years also comes new issues. Part suppliers change, assembly line issues arise, fixes causing new issues, etc.

Any issue that has been recalled will be corrected for the following model years and even mid year vehicles being produced.

There is chatter of a corrected CV axle for hybrids but we won’t know until the 25s roll off.

Expect the dash/a pillar rattle to persist

We have had hundreds of reports of CV axle failures over the past 3 years. No recall. Some people are on their second or third set of axles in under 100,000 mi.

The dashboard rattle fix took 3 years to be available. And the fix is for 2WD units only, as if the "AWD dashboards" don't rub and squeak.

The windshield alignment rattle/tapping was never acknowledged in a TSB or recall.

The software updates left certain people stranded, cutting power to the truck in traffic and putting them and their families in harm's way.

The battery drain and poor 12v batteries have kind of been acknowledged. Still not fixed.

There will be fixes for some of these things, but other issues will crop up.

Hundreds?

What percentage of the produced vehicles are experiencing the CV axle failure?
Here is arounst 300,000 made.

Yes, hundreds of reports between here, Reddit, and Facebook. Might be thousands in reality, and it probably is.

Understandable that manufacturing problems will exist.
On websites like this I look for what Solutions vehicle owners are finding.

The % of a problem is relevant.
Well to me anyway...
( and guessing important to a recall)

Hundreds would be almost nothing out of 300,000 produced.
even say rough math 15%=45000
While that would be a chunk of vehicles
The much bigger majority might be trouble free....

But that % is unknown.

This is where everybody has to make a determination of risk over reward. New car with what percent possibility it might have the issue? 50% would be a much higher detriment i m o.

If only that was the case. They are slowly fixing some of the software and part issues. Some of them have taken 3 model years without being fixed that we know of. Some may still linger into MY25, we won't know until people have driven them for 3-6 months or more.

Some of the new additions to MY25 could introduce new issues as well. New infotainment system, is is perfect? Don't know, you'd have to check out MY24/MY25 Ford Escape user forums, it's the same system. New transmission in the Hybrid, plus the addition of an AWD system, which could have issues.

Do MY24/MY25 have as many issues as MY22? No. I doubt MY25 will get 6-10 recalls before they are 2 1/2 years old like many MY22s have.
