Ford Extended Warranty, best place to buy?

Hey all, long time.

I got a 2023 XLT Hybrid last April and ever since I've been out of scene.

Now, I'm reading 31k miles and am getting ready for my warranty to expire at 36k.

From what I remember back when I was active on the sub, we could buy the ford extended warranty from granger ford before hitting 36k, and its the only place that doesn't upcharge.

Is this still a valid path? Which state granger ford and where?

You can get all the pricing here, there are different options depending on the miles and years you want as well as options for things like loaner coverage, keys and I think lighting if I remember correctly. I bought my extended warranty through them before my factory warranty expired as well.

Have never bought one,never needed one.hope our maverick doesn't break this cycle.

Best hurry cause if exceed factory warranty, and apply for ESP, might consider truck ti be “used”, and need dealer inspection, check before it’s accepted fir coverage.

Yes slightly before factory one runs out. As I read it, whenever you pay for it, then it starts the clock ticking.

I bought both a Ford Protect (Premium Maintenance) and an Extended Service Plan (ESP) from Flood Ford online for my 2024 Hybrid XLT. It was half the price of what my local dealership (Gaudin Ford in Henderson, NV) was trying to gouge me for and significantly cheaper than the Ford Protect Online quote. Ford Protect Extended Service Plan
Q: When does coverage begin on New Ford Protect Extended Service Plans?
A: Coverage begins at the warranty start date and zero miles and expires at the earlier of the number of months purchased or the number of miles purchased.

Q: Are Ford Protect Extended Service Plans transferable to subsequent owners?
A: Yes, they are transferable. Transfer fees vary by state. If you are paying for the contract via the Installment Payment Plan (IPP), the IPP contract must be paid in full in order to transfer the plan coverage.

Q: When can I purchase a New Ford Protect Extended Service Plan?
A: Plans must be purchased within the time and mileage of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (the earlier of 3 years or 36,000 miles for Ford vehicles and 4 years or 50,000 miles for Lincoln vehicles).

Just to clarify, I meant that any warranty repair claims on the extended warranty would start at the end of the factory warranty.

Believe the mileage part of an extended warrant starts when you purchase the vehicle. So if you got a 5 year, 60,000 mile extended warranty, it’s 60,000 minus the 36,000 factory miles.

I have heard good things about Granger so I had them price a 4 year 36 thousand mile warranty for my 2022 XLT hybrid. I then asked my local dealer, Willis Ford in Smyrna, DE about a price. Full disclosure I have purchased 3 cars from them in 12 years. They sold me a 5 year 60 thousand mile warranty for $50.00 less than Granger for a better product. Both contracts were cover everything types with a $100.00 deductable. Bottom line, as in most purchases, buyers need to do their own research before purchase.
