I got my replacement bulbs: T3-4257Rs. Installed them, tested them. Looking at the dash I saw 3 quick flash’s, then back to normal.
what have others experienced?
Yep, here too. I wrote Lasfit and they replied :
"Thank you for your feedback regarding the installation of the T3 bulbs in your vehicle. We appreciate your input.
While we're glad to hear that the issue has been largely resolved, we understand that you are still experiencing a brief period of approximately 2-3 fast blinks in the cabin before the turn signals settle into their normal tempo and sound.
Please be assured that this behavior is a normal operation of your vehicle's computer control system when aftermarket LEDs are detected.
Once the system recognizes the bulbs, it should function normally without significant issues.

We value your satisfaction as our valued customer, and we will continue to work towards delivering high-quality solutions.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions we will be happy to help you out.

Best regards,
Vichan

Personally, I don't mind it. Since it only affects the taillights I think the few quick flashes alerts drivers behind me that I'm slowing/stopping/changing lanes. I've had the lamps installed for a few weeks now and they still do it, so I'm thinking it's not likely to change any time soon.

Yes, sometimes they don't light up. I noticed it when I was parked in front of a window.
After I asked you this, I found the same thing on my truck in front of a store window.

If you are still experiencing it, do what I did. Using FORScan, I had the Rear LED Turn Outage setting ENABLED. I disabled it and found that continuous hyperflash stopped and the T3 tail lights function normally. At times, I do have the 3 click hyperflash in the cab which is the only problem I still have.

I do want to credit another post of someone experiencing this and what they did to fix it. I would like to include the link, but I cannot relocate that post.

My opinion: The more I read about Lasfit bulbs, the more I feel they are not the quality product they are portrayed to be. They don't do what they claimed to do (function without error) and there seem to be an unusual number of reports of them malfunctioning either intermittently or completely. I returned mine, and if you are within the return window I would suggest to anyone to do the same.

I now have Diode Dynamics bulbs. I turned off the same settings you are now having to resort to trying to make the Lasfit bulbs work, with no resistors or overheating or trying to fool a computer or trying to say some hyperflashing is normal or anything else like that. I was able to select the brightness that I wanted and they have a 3-year warranty. They look fantastic and just work.

I know that Lasfit may be working fine for some or maybe even most people, which is great. This is just my opinion after having had both brands.

Good info! Greatly appreciated! I've read the comments and am very cautious about making any kind of electrical changes. I know Ford does not recommend switching to LED bulbs, but after I blacked out my taillight lenses, which I don't regret, I'd just like to put a brighter bulb in, but am very reluctant after reading all of the malfunctions with hyperflash and such.

I have been running Lasfit T3-4257R in the rear stop/tail, T-WT21W for backup, and T3-4247D switchbacks for front turn signal since March of this year. I used FORScan to disable the stop/tail outage and the front turn signal Outage..

Everything works perfectly well without any hyperflash at all.

i have installed them in 2 Mavericks, mine and my grand-sons. Both are XLT, FX4, Ecoboost

Does Ford not have LED bulbs that work correctly. Why is everyone constantly trying to to get Lasfit to work when it’s obvious by now that they can’t figure out how to make them work correctly.

The only user replaceable bulbs on the Maverick are halogens, that's why people are trying to replace them with aftermarket LEDs. All the LED lights on the Maverick are built into the light housings and are not user replaceable without changing out the entire housing. If one of the LED headlights goes out, you need an entire new housing for around $1k+ (unless found for $700-$800 at a junk yard.

Ok, but all I see is everyone trying to get Lasfit to work. Are they the only ones making LED’s for the Maverick?

That is not true! The light assemblies can be easily removed and the bulbs are simple to remove. It took me only 5 minutes to changeout each side. What you said is true for the headlight assembly, but not for the subject units as per my post.

The problem is that all LED bulb manufacturers have ceased to make them because the use of FORScan to reprogram the module was not widely known and Ford will not address the issue. There must be more to this that Ford won’t disclose. All I can tell you is that the Lasfit solution can be made to work but they have backed away from it. Maybe they were sued, is my guess.

No, they just advertised very heavily and got a lot of people to buy into their junk. This, all the people trying to get them to work.

Lasfit is not manufacturing them any more. Diode Dynamics has a solution involving adding inline resistors, but I am not sure if they are doing this any more.

Their product in my experience is not junk. As I have posted, they are working well on two vehicles that I have modified.

I’m wondering if LED’s used elsewhere in other ford vehicles for other purposes can be swapped into the Maverick and work as a tail light, turn signal or what have you.

You misread the post. There are no serviceable LEDs on these trucks, any LEDs must be replaced as assemblies. The only serviceable bulbs are incandescent.

Now for the second part of your post speculating about manufacturers not making bulbs and lawsuits- that is just not even remotely true. One company, Lasfit, claimed to have a bulb that was compatible with Maverick through its CANbus system. That turned out to not be true and they were just using a resistor, which no longer was correct after Ford made software changes. Then they came out with another bulb that was supposed to be compatible, but it wasn't. Even when they weren't having issues with hyper flashing, they have a high failure rate. Probably due to the heat from having a resistor built in. One company. Lasfit. Other companies continue to produce bulbs as they have for a long time, that require either external resistors or software changes to work without hyper flashing.

There is no point in making Lasfit bulbs work, they still have the built in resistor and they will fail. The best thing you can do is buy an actual high quality bulb and either add resistors or make software changes (preferred).
