Ugly is, as ugly does! LOL You can't expect a South Carolina Gamecock fan to like a Clemson truck design.

Not a fan of the design choice, but I doubt it will materially impact sales of the Maverick. Taken as a whole it remains an attractive and generally inoffensive design. There are far more controversial designs that have been accepted over time - looking at you Cybertruck.

Most styling updates people hate until they grow on you. Oldest example I remember was the 1978 Ford trucks. We thought the new grille was ugly. Liked the 77's. Then after a year or two, the 78-79 was the one to have, when the 1980's came out. The 2025 is already growing on me. I might buy a 25 now that my 23 is gone. Eruption green please!

I used to truck thru Detroit a lot back in the 70's. It wasnt unusual to see pre-production vehicles being test driven across the metro area and across Michigan and Indiana

I remember, around '76, seeing an early 70's F100 sporting a '78 front end and a lot of plastic on the body all used to disguise the trucks identity.

They usually had one seat with the rest of the cab filled with test equipment.

I thought WTF is THAT thing?

Saw lots of F250's with flat bed bodies running between Ft Wayne, IN on I-69 loaded down with large blocks of concrete bolted to the steel beds... all fitted with test equipment, too.

Two years before Dodge introduced the Durango I was running a shuttle of shock absorbers from the Monroe shock absorber plant in Monroe, MI to the Chrysler skunk works in Detroit.

One day I was unloading when the old freight elevator open and two guys rolled out a Durango body out of the elevator.

The dock foreman reminded me that I didn't see anything!!!

Thems is fightin' words (mock sarcasm when saying your name) Mister Quattlebaum (end sarcasm).

Where in SC is Blackville? Don't think I've ever heard of Blacksville. I grew up in Sumter.

Blackville is 30 miles west of Orangeburg, 30 miles east of Aiken, and 50 miles south of Columbia. No animosity intended. I actually graduated from Valdosta State College many years ago, but pull for South Carolina since my brother and sister graduated from USC. Hope you enjoy your new Maverick!

Honestly, I bet this design will look way better in person. I do like the ERUPTION GREEN. But as you can see I may be a little biased.

I'm not sure when it happened... but at some point the 2025 front ends grew on me and I like them. Funny how that happens. Really like the look of my 2024 Lariat, but I also don't mind the 2025..

Yeah, it's like when you buy a new CD, and the first time through you only like a couple of songs; but after you hear it a few times you really start to like a lot of them. The layman's term is "It grows on you", but there's an actual psychological term for liking something more the more you see/hear it.

I didn't have a problem with it at first, and then I wrestled with it for a short while after people pointed it out. But I've gone back to liking it just fine...which is good since mine is almost here.

Apparently it's been in KC since Friday. Not sure what the hold up there is.

there's a lot to like in the 2025 with sync4a for all, xlt push to start, 360 camera & forward parking sensors for lariat, etc.

I don't hate the 2025 front end, but I prefer the original. I'm actually really glad they changed the grille and headlights to remove the crossbar which is just a pocket for dead bugs in warm weather here.

I didn't order a 2025 because I have a kid going into college and I have no idea if that's going to cost a little or a lot. Competitive scholarships are finalized / announced by end of February so if you see me ordering a Lobo in March it went well. :ROFLMAO:
