I'm researching Apple CarPlay wireless devices on Amazon, and I thought it would be a good idea to ask here.
Talking about a device that plugs into the USB C on my Lariat 2022 Maverick Hybrid, and connects via Bluetooth to my iPhone, thus eliminating having to plug cables in.
Usage would be primarily for maps / siri / music / hands free phone calls & texts

- Which device are you using
- Cost
- Opinion on easy of setup and using
- consistant performance, not intermittent

Appreciate your time and thoughts on this!

So I have had this for 1 day but it was easy to setup and works well so far, easy setup and looks good in the Maverick. It currently had $5 off.

I bought a CarlinKit 3.0 last year but it continually lost it's connection, and after updating it, updating my Sync 3, rolling everything back, etc. etc., it still happened way more frequently than I wanted, so...

I purchased this one in April of this year, just after I purchased my Maverick, and couldn't be happier with the decision. I don't have Sync, just whatever Ford calls their basic system, and at first I was pretty disappointed, but it supported CarPlay and with the device I linked, I haven't missed Sync at all. You'll note if you check out the link that this item is not in stock - the maker has released a new model and doesn't not offer this one anymore.

Good luck - stable automatic wireless CarPlay makes all the difference in the world.

I've been using the Teeran CarPlay wireless adapter. Works better than my Android wireless adapter. 70$ on Amazon. what I"ve noticed is these adapters blank out or skip signal when approaching water towers...doesn't matter Carplay or Android Auto...but other than that, they're alright.

Original AAWireless.
Works with iOS and Android.
I got mine free from a friend, but it's $60 on Amazon.

They put out regular updates, and if you ever use Android it has a developer mode that allows you to screen mirror and do other things.

If you’re not dead-set on buying from Amazon, you can get one a whole lot cheaper from Aliexpress. I got this one and it works great

I bought this set up at Amazon and used the $20 coupon. Highly rated and recommended. It has worked flawlessly and I used the lower port and velcroed to flat surface underneath and it also came with an adapter to use the C adapter for my IPhone charging. It has been a perfect set up so far.

You can download any app you want from play store. Youtube, Android Auto, Torque AND Radarscope can all be run on the Maverick 8".

Apps Run local on the device, NOT through AA

Has to connect to your phone's hotspot.

Do you get unlimited tethering on cell phones in Canada, in the US you don't.

Most water towers have cellular and radio antennas mounted on them. Sparatic transmissions can cause problems. I have had them blank out XM radio.
