Has anyone here tried painting the cover for the cruise control radar that's on the front grill? If so, did it cause any issues?

Thanks but I'm talking about actually painting black with clear coat to match the black appearance package strip (along with the rest of the grill).
It doesn't answer your question, but you caused me to flash back to my first few months of practicing law, uhm, a couple of years ago, yeah, that's it!Has anyone here tried painting the cover for the cruise control radar that's on the front grill?
I say 'Just Do It' and keep us updated somebody has to do it first. Thanks but I'm talking about actually painting black with clear coat to match the black appearance package strip (along with the rest of the grill).
It's on my to-do list, I'll let everyone know how it turns out both in pictures and if it messes up the ACC. LOLI say 'Just Do It' and keep us updated somebody has to do it first.
NO, you will get a message that the cover in the grille needs cleaningI say 'Just Do It' and keep us updated somebody has to do it first.
You could run into a problem. You may have choose between aesthetics and a working adaptive cruise control. Thanks but I'm talking about actually painting black with clear coat to match the black appearance package strip (along with the rest of the grill).
Paint a piece of clear tape or other removeable material and put that over the grill to see if it affects operation. It's on my to-do list, I'll let everyone know how it turns out both in pictures and if it messes up the ACC. LOL
Worse case scenario is a new grill.
This!Paint a piece of clear tape or other removeable material and put that over the grill to see if it affects operation.
To add to that, the material to be painted might first be attached in front of the radar before painting it, to make sure the material itself doesn't block the radar. This!
