Is there a setting to keep eco drive mode on everytime you start the truck?

Hello, every time my daughter drives the 2024 xl hybrid maverick she has to change the drive mode to eco, is there a way so it starts in eco mode when you turn it on? Thank you

5 button pushes before clearing the “okays” and 4 after. Make it routine and you get eco all day.

I just installed the MyMavMod yesterday to skip the button pushes to ECO. Works great and relatively quick install. Still can't comprehend why Ford doesn't implement a built in "save" but they don't.

FMVSS regulations. The drive modes can alter the performance of the stability/traction control system, so must return to a Normal state upon restart.

S5.4.2 In addition to the requirements of S5.4.1, if the vehicle's ESC system has more than one ESC mode that satisfies the requirements of S5.1 and S5.2 within the drive configuration selected for the previous ignition cycle, the system must return to the manufacturer's original default ESC mode.

Along with the others I always wondered about that.
Thank you for the information.

FMVSS No. 126
Requires electronic stability control (ESC) systems to revert to the manufacturer's default mode for the current drive configuration when the vehicle restarts

Why do Toyota hybrids stay in sport / eco / normal?

Eco on the Mav doesn't mess with stability or traction control - slippery mode might? Slippery sure kills the brakes. Maybe it is modes besides eco that is why Ford doesn't allow memory. Still lame. Should allow default to be normal or eco. Want something more specialized? Press the button.

Don't forget it's a shared platform. You have things like Sand and Mud/Ruts on the AWD/Tremor and Bronco Sport.

I had a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and it always stayed in ECO mode. Just kept the dial to ECO.

Good point. it would cost (a little bit) to write different instruction manuals and/or write a little more code for each different model.

Yeah, that’s just part of my routine now. Clear the seatbelt warning, click to eco, spin the dial, press the accelerator.
Man!!
Thats It..
Think of it as just dialing up your favorite radio station...

Does it really make that big of a difference. If you drive conservatively won't it be the same mileage?

The Normal mode is what was used to establish the EPA rating so it has to be the default. The same is true with other vehicles, my Honda Odyssey defaults to auto engine cut off at idle. We have to turn it off each time we start the vehicle. You can thank the government for this inconvenience.
