We were on a 2 lane highway with a 70 mph speed limit. We meet an 18 wheeler coming the opposite direction, I really thought it caused some permanent damage because of how much it buckled.

I'm actually roaring with laughter right now because there's a kid in town who glued one of those onto the hood of his jetta and uses it to cover his hood dump exhaust when it rains. He just sticks on a little U bend pipe to route the exhaust back into the engine bay and covers the hole with the lid, the entire bay is just caked with soot.I started to photo shop this!
30 seconds with a heat gun would fix that.Just an observation
Not thinking it follows the hood contours along the sides at all - This here (overhang) will catch air and fly off - sooner or later - appears to be an issue on both sides ...
