Here is a very thorough (to say the least) install and testing of the new Rough County Tri Fold flip up bed cover.

We install it and then take it on some fun OHV trails in Sedona, AZ.

A few things for you:

1) Thanks for taking the time to make and post that video! Great quality, very easy to watch and stay engaged.

2) Love the Nine Club sticker on your toolbox. Huge fan of those guys and what they do, really fun to see another fan of them out there in the "wild"!

3) Are the pinch latches that click the cover into the bed made from plastic or are they powder coated metal?

I've got RC's non-flip-up version of the tri-fold hard cover (which I'm super happy with for my purposes) but one of the deciding factors for me between them was the latches for the non-flip-up version are aluminum pins. They pull in and out via a cable which is super easy to use and the whole mechanism just seemed like it'd be a bit more robust in the long run. Granted I'd never seen either of the two in person and there wasn't much info out there, but between that and the extra $100 saved, I was content with my decision.

I hope yours serves you well regardless, and either way, it was great to see some sort of install vid for these covers on a Maverick!

It’s a Ute, a modern day Ranchero.
It has a unibody, not a separate frame.
Treat it like such and it will be fine.
Jeep trails are not any kind of Maverick trails. A Bronco would have been a better choice.

Specifically, NOT a bronco sport (which I believe is pretty much the same vehicle without a bed)

The front bumper cover to skid plate is a week spot. I wish there was an upgrade for this area, replace the plastic with a metal skid plate.
That’s exactly the question I’ve been meaning to ask…is there a stronger replacement for that area

Well that would be the smart thing to do…

Thanks a lot for the accolades. I tried on this one haha.

i always hope someone notices one of the various stickers on the toolbox and mentions it. I’ve watched so much dang nine club I need to get some of those hours back in my life haha. And I recently hit my head skating, so I’m hating skateboarding right now haha

i will update as this bedcover holds up. So far I love this thing. Super easy to use and pretty robust

Mine is torn up in the same spot. I have been looking for an option and found none so far. I found something for the fx4 but would not work at all for a Tremor.

Appears that bottom hand tighten bolt is the same as my allen bolt on other cover.
Since the outer clamp is set position, that bottom bolt allows positioning the inner clamp where it would best be.

So that happens first before tightening the clamps together to pinch. (ETA - actually pretty sure the existing allen goes on bottom because set once, the turn handle clamp is for making the pinch, maybe not)

My default line up was not that great, inner clamp face spread between the plastic liner wrap around, and the metal. Needed to adjust so the teeth were on the plastic grabbing - pinching the metal between inner & outer plastic. I guess I could have dug into the metal.

Can you tell where that lowest position caused your inner clamp to be?

Appears to be a nice product, agree on getting it totally out of the way.

ETA - was there enough foam left to create a better water/dust deal for the tailgate area?
