I’m more upset that you only had to wait 3 months……..

Why are people so worried about X-plan pricing? From my understanding it saves you a few hundred dollars at most.
it would have been around $1,000 because of dealer fees not applying. If a dealership acts this way at purchase, they will during anything.

x-plan is invoice minus .4%, and capped dealer fees, so it's up to ~$1500 under MSRP pending model/options. Pretty significant in a hot market, where MSRP is considered a "good deal".....

Ford does offer this plan via their website, but each dealership is not required to accept it. It is up to each dealership. I asked to speak to the sales manager while at my dealership to explain that I qualified for the X-plan and that I deserve to get this pricing (considering I work only 10 minutes from the dealership and we produce the bearings that go into every Ford) so I was convincing enough for him to allow it. I did sign what looks to be a purchase order with the bottom line pricing. If you read the small print on the X-Plan web page, it mentions that things like sales tax, tag/transfer fee and admin fees are not included and will be added. So for my example:
XLT X-Plan Price: 22280
2.0L Ecoboost: 1085
Tonneau Cover: 1160
Delivery Fee: 1495
Total: 26020
+
Fees mentioned above: 1057.60
Total out the door: 26,577.60

Hope that helps!

what do you mean close hybrids?
Ford is going to close the order banks on MY2022 Hybrid Mavericks in a very short time. The word is that could happen by next week. When that happens Ford will no longer accept new orders for MY2022 Hybrid Mavericks. In June of 2022 order banks for MY2023 Mavericks will be open and Hybrid Mavericks will again be available to be ordered.

X plan is only about $200 off the base XLT price. My Z plan is only about $2,000 total off an XLT with luxury package, copilot and FX4.

Model Year 2022 Hybrids will no longer be produced so you'll have to wait until they come out with Model Year 2023

After a 3 month wait, my Alto Blue Maverick finally arrived at the dealership! When I approved the order sheet, I put “x-plan pricing” beside my signature, and also mentioned it to the sales person I was working with. Today during the paperwork, I was told that they would NOT allow x-plan pricing, (even though Ford says that it is available), and have not done one in years. Sooo, there was a $795 dealer fee, exorbitant admin fee and large doc fee added to the MSRP. Under x-plan, the dealer fee is disallowed, and other fees are limited. They would not budge, nor would they discount the base price by the corresponding dealer fee to enable a win win.

I walked out. I later got a call from the GM, but only reasons why they couldn’t do any better. Needless to say, I’m quite disappointed.

WOW, I was waiting for the Hybrid, where did I miss the news, where I can read about it?

Dealerships don’t have to accept any plan pricing. Crappy I know, but it is what it is.
Agree, although this needs to be know at time of order not when you go to pay and drive home.

Im sure the dealer didn't care a lick. They got a quicker customer vehicle and then up the price to some chump that would pay the uncharges.

Lots of great suggestions here, none of which involve bands of people with pitchforks and fire. It might be time for bands of people with pitchforks and fire- just sayin. God I hate car dealerships…
might I suggest you hold off on that kind of language publicly? Don't want groups of people doing this and being labeled right wing white supremacists now do we

Time to run from those crooks. It's a shame they work this way.

All I signed was an Order Summary. When I emailed it back to the GM, I put on it “X-Plan pricing”. They should have alerted me at that time that the dealership does not honor that plan. Never was provided anything after that, except for status emails from Ford.

I'm working through this as well. I have a verbal "handshake" agreement and a print out with my X plan price but am concerned in a few months things will change. I have emailed different people at my dealer three times with no response. I'm going to call/visit in the next week to confirm. I don't have any reason to believe that they will not honor our agreement but I'm getting a little paranoid. It seems like they have more incentive to sell my truck to someone else than to me so I don't want to be caught off guard in a few months. Would rather be disappointed now.

If you find out they won't honor X plan I would look for a dealer who would and you can transfer your order too. I am still in the process of doing this. Was refunded by Jim Click Ford and called 800-334-4375 to request an order transfer. The process takes 2-3 weeks and if the truck is already in or near production it is probably to late. No guarantees on getting approval of the transfer as i am still praying for mine to go through, it has been 9 business days since I requested the transfer. After another week I will call and check on it again.
