Did you swap engines to the 2.3? Or just using the turbo to the 2.3....It's all in my build thead, Project QuikRik.

Congratulations on your TrophyHey guys, I spent my Saturday at Cordova Dragway here in northwestern Illinois. It was a great time, and I'm hoping we have a ton more Maverick's there next year!
I think I counted 6 Maverick's at the event, but sadly only two did the drag racing! I posted a 12.67@110mph, for the quickest Maverick and second quickest overall for the event. A Fiesta ST ran a blistering 12.46! I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner, but that's moving out!
So, for winning the quickest Maverick, I won a 6' tall trophy! I didn't get all of the prize money, because there needed to be 10 Maverick's racing. They did give me a smaller monetary prize!
I also won a front strut brace from the company Massive, which fit perfectly and actually looks almost perfect for my velocity blue! Massive thanks to Massive for doing all they did at the event as well! They are starting to make parts for the Maverick platform, and currently have suspension components if anyone is looking!
I'll try to help promote it better next year. There were plenty of posts about it all over FB, but there wasn't much chatter about it. Hopefully I can help with that next year!
On to some pictures!

Just the turbo. I don't see much of a point in swapping engines. Both are fuel limited, and having more torque lower in the rpm band isn't doing the trans any favors, lol.Did you swap engines to the 2.3? Or just using the turbo to the 2.3....
That strut brace looks so much more functional than the Steeda. Like the looks of that and want to order one. Does it only come in blue?Massive speed systems will have the strut brace up on their site at some point. I messaged them but haven't heard back.
The escort was probably my favorite vehicle there!
LOL, the guy mentions his list of mods and it includes fabricating his own downpipe.Did you take the trophy apart to get it home or did it sit in the back seat?
I've made trophies for people and a few times and had someone bring it back in pieces in a box to put it together again because they couldn't get it in their car and took it apart.![]()
I was thinking you rented an F-150.Lol, I had to take it apart!
