Thanks for the add, looking to do some research here to determine which model makes the most sense for my needs.

Ok - little more of my story. I'm down a vehicle, my daily needs some significant work done, so it will likely be off the road for a few months. In the meantime I'll need something to get around in, and it would be handy to keep this as a third vehicle going forward.

I do woodworking as a hobby, so I have needs to move some lumber and tools, and it would be useful for general household needs. My son has a 2500 Cummins 4x4 if I ever need to do anything serious, so I think a small truck will be sufficient for what I need.

I like the idea of the Tremor, but I live in DFW and will likely never take it off road. I do like the idea of AWD though for the one winter snowstorm we get a year. I do see a likelihood of doing some towing, and the fact that the Tremor doesn't allow for the tow package probably means I'm leaning towards the FX4 as opposed to the Tremor. I don't intend to do any heavy towing but I think I want to at least have the option of the 4k.

Trim wise I'm used to my creature comforts so I'm leaning towards the Lariat.

I joined up here to try to find out all the things I'm not thinking of that I'd hate to find out about after the fact.

Thanks again for having me.

In that case it's pretty simple you can not get the FX4 in hybrid AWD. So the difference is the Lariat vs XLT with optional XLT luxury group. There will be options on the Lariat that are standard and not available with the XLT (example push button start, sound insulating windshield, upgrade speakers etc). The good thing the XLT offers cloth seats and still equiped very well with the luxury group.

So I suggest looking at the cost difference and what you get with the Lariat and if those items are wanted or needed. You can look at options and standard equipment at Ford build https://shop.ford.com/configure/maverick/2025/model/customize/xl

Hope this information helps you. Also welcome to MTC. Please keep us updated on what you decided, your order process and lastly delivery with some pictures. Best of luck to you.

Aloha! Welcome!

Sounds like you need a FX4K. If lux is your jam, Lariat is your ride. Dont forget though that there is lux upgrades on both XLT and Lariat models. So shop around for the longest list on the window sticker an bring your biggest checkbook. I say the FX4 part is important because it does give you added looks, aswell as added cooling ability. Something you will want in Texas. Alternatively its too bad you are in a hurry because next years hybrid 4k AWD Lariat is gonna be a helluva Texas truck. I know you got some long roads and cheap gas down there. Anyhow get yourself a something that appeals to you, but dont feel bad about thinking about trading it in next year. Mavericks still seem to hold a decent value and the front end of the 2025s should keep the 24s trade in value higher than it would be otherwise atleast for most of next year.

Well I guess it’s official now.
That's awesome. Congrats !!! Think you will really like the little truck. Glad to see you went with the Lariat, you will enjoy all the extra features/amenities. Worth every penny imo.

Awesome choice. I love my Tremor and like you don't need it to off-road, but it is a great looking package. Glad to see window tint already on. Enjoy!
