I'm interested to read the reviews from some of our members once they receive them. But in general I would pay a little bit more for the higher quality version. We'll just see what the reviews have to say.

Glad to hear it fits well. Have you noticed any reduction of engine noise? That's what we are all eager to knowReceived mine and installed it. Immediately dropped the 2 square 5mmx12mm push pins that go front and center. Looked everywhere. Quick trip to AutoZone to buy 4 more ( so I can drop 2 more).
Fit is good .

Yep, that's the $60 question.Glad to hear it fits well. Have you noticed any reduction of engine noise? That's what we are all eager to know![]()
Thank you for your evaluation and feedback.I installed this on my truck. Fit is definitely good- pretty much looks factory. I am not a fan of the bolts with the metal bar attached- I actually put a piece of heat shrink on each metal bar before installing just to make myself feel a little better about "clamping" to the hood.
No sound readings, but I almost feel like some of the higher pitched engine noise is gone and you just hear the lower pitches. Absolutely could be just in my head. Mine is a Lariat so already have more sound deadening plus I have the foam engine cover added as well.
One other piece of feedback/info for anyone installing these. Instead of the included screwdriver, I used a 10mm nut driver. No need to torque them like crazy, but I find a standard size nut driver much easier to use than a small screwdriver.Thank you for your evaluation and feedback.
It took me a couple tries to get them in good - and still not entirely pleased with the fit, but seems to be holding. Don't expect them to be perpendicular, just that they are off to the side enough to grab the hood. I found that kind of pushing them up so the bolt is more vertical than at the 45 degree angle it seems like it should be helped. I would also prefer them be more perpendicular and feeling like they are grabbing better, but not sure it's possible.I (mostly) installed mine on August 29th - the day it arrived. I say mostly because I can’t get the the two center clamps at the back of the hood to stay engaged long enough to tighten everything up! Left feedback at Amazon regarding the same thing.
what is the trick to getting those oval plates to stay in position (perpendicular to instead of in line with) with the hood slots?
