The front end...I like it

I've been wanting the larger screen so badly for so long, they could have put the front end of a 1974 Volkswagen Thing on it, and I would have bought it. But seriously, I don't see why so many hate the front end of the 2025 Maverick. I actually like it. I think they did pick the best grill of the prototypes I saw.

What do y'all think? Below are the 1974 Thing, 2024 Maverick, and 2025 Maverick.

It's a mistake, but so is putting all of the HVAC controls on the screen. I fail to see how the larger screen will make any difference. Certainly not worth taking a bath trading.

The real mistake is the Lobo wheels. Ugliest wheels ever put on a vehicle.

I do not like them even with hybrid All-Wheel-Drive.

I do not like them with what I see.
I do not like them even in Eruption Green.

It looks less offensive in darker colors. I think most of us are gonna have to see it in person and close up to really know. I still think there's a market for some clever decoration or functional add-on lighting in that space.

What really puzzles me is why the Maverick's stablemate, the Bronco Sport, gets such handsome front ends. They catch my eye every time I see one.

There are people that like AMC Pacer and Pontiac Aztek. General consensus is ugly then, ugly now.

I think the biggest issue is that it doesn't look like just one continuous piece. Might be better if it was painted underneath the grill.

I like it too. But I don't get all worked up about how the interior doesn't match the exterior. Two seperate visuals to me.

The front end was fine. The new panels do not add balance to the front so the overall effect is that the cute little truck is hiding something. Looks like Ford designers just said, sorry, we just ran out of time.
As others have pointed out, it is the mystery dash cubby all over again, except now bystanders are left wondering what happened to that cute little truck they thought the Maverick was.
