It's super easy to pop that trim cover off below the headliner and behind the mirror, just use a plastic pry tool that's all I did there's four plastic clips holding it to the glass.Mine is still on the way.
How much effort was it to open the trim behind the mirror? Do you have any suggestions now that you've just done it sucessfully?
How did you splice into the wires? What type of splice materials did you use?
Did you take any pictures of the wiring?
I use the medium sized drill bit and rounded out a 3/8 half circle for the wire to run behind the plastic up into the headliner.
No problems making the half circle, didn't scratch or mar the plastic trim cover at all looks OEM in my opinion.
Watch the man's video in the first post he shows you how to wire I even used the same style splice solder shrink wrap connectors as he did as I already had a bunch from my install of Govee outdoor pro lights. That I installed outside under my eaves last year.
