The maverick doesn't have wireless car play (unless you want a overpriced 2025 model) so do yourself a favor and buy this $10 accessory off of Aliexpress and it will allow you to have android auto and apple car play wirelessly as if you had Sync 4. It's very reliable and works as well as my other vehicles that have wirless capabilities built in.

You are welcome to spend x8 as much on the same exact thing when ordering elsewhere. The model linked has 1000s of units sold.

I've been using mine for weeks now and have had no problem.

This was is super easy to use.

You just plug it in to your usb port, pair with Bluetooth and your phone will automatically pair whenever your get into your car it's amazing.

Best accessory I've purchased. You can buy a new maverick for thousands more and get the wireless feature or you can just buy this dongle.

Thanks killowatt, sure hope this works. I'm not a fan of being wired in all the time. I make numerous stops during the days on my pool route. It's a big pain in the arse having to go back & get my phone if needed.

I spent 4x on my dongle. Works well but $10 is better.

Only thing with Android Auto is that I need to unplug the wire or dongle, or quit the app, just to turn on the AM/FM radio. Grrr. After the radio is on I can restart Android. It can go from radio to streaming music under Android but not streaming to radio. Will Apple Car Play allow radio selection?

I have bought a LOT of stuff from Aliexpress and never had a problem like that. They do, sometimes, have a lower price for a first time buyer. When I click on the link I see $8 price until I log in. Then I get the "returning" customer price.

I'm not going to say Ali is perfect, there's a bit to be desired but I've never had a problem with what I'm charged.

I don't understand what you mean? I use the Motorola MA1 adapter for wireless Android Auto and I can still access the regular FM/AM radio. When in AA tap the bottom left corner of the screen to access you AA apps then tap the "Ford" app and it will bring you to the radio.
