$200+? That's a ridiculous price for a couple of pieces of plastic that don't do anything. Especially when the existing side badges don't look bad.
I wanted side turns so they're viewable when I'm towing. For ten bucks I got blacked out amber side marker lights that are the same color as the turns and mounted those in the existing badges. I had considered the Mabetts until I actually saw them on a Mav. To each his own but to me the Mabett's are too bright, the yellow color doesn't come close to matching the amber turns, they leak, and are ugly.
Simple for me is better.

I want to side turn indicator. That seems to be the best mounting position.
👍Sometimes less is better.👍

Wayyyyyy too much money for a couple pieces of plastic that do nothing. It's not a "vent" , they aren't lighted, and we'd be better off with a little emblem that has the model name. IMHO, these are a design flaw on all current Ford trucks. The things should have never been there in the first place.
Yeah what you said. I've often wondered just exactly what purpose a fender vent is supposed to have. My guess is not much.

The fender vent is a styling element common to Ford trucks. Kind of like a trademark.
Think Buick. They still had the fender vents long past the days of them being functional.
My 350 has one. Ford Ranger has them F-150 has them Raptors all the way down to Maverick.
Y'all are kind of overthinking it. 🤔

In the olden days , Buick had them on the side of the fender. It was kind of a give away you were looking a Buick

You mean like these..
Back in the day they were design element that Buick implemented to resemble aircraft style exhaust.
And
Cord had actual exhaust pipes coming out of the hood.

Yes, they were similar, But Cord had exhaust coming out of the hood. The vents were under the exhaust.

Not for $200. I made my own. They flash when you lock/unlock the truck and are a turn signal indicator also

Interesting, 🤔 please let people know where you got the indicator light and how you wired it..

My dad told me years ago that if there were three on each side it was a 6 cylinder engine in the car, four on each side was an 8 cylinder engine (originally an in-line 8 and later V-8). All derived from the early days with open engine bays and exposed exhaust manifolds and pipes.
