Damn starting prices have really climbed since initial offering in 2022.

As I have stared at this chart, something isn't sitting right with me about the XLT Hybrid AWD line. On the XL, it's a $2220 jump to get AWD, but on the XLT, it's only $625? I'm thinking they left off the destination on that line for some reason:

$2220-625 = $1595 (aka the exact cost of Destination)

I hope I'm wrong, because that means the XLT AWD is for sure a sweet spot. Guess we'll find out tomorrow!

Looks-wise, I think the interior now looks "cheaper" with the elimination of the center stack controls.

You're fine. I read from your profile that you have a hybrid, which of course means you have fwd. I misinterpreted your comment to mean you didn't want fwd. What I didn't realize was that you were referring the new 2025 hybrid which now offers awd and you would prefer that. Did I get that correctly?

I have a Hybrid and love it. I also think the 25 Hybrid 4K towing will do fine under normal conditions. But if TFL races a 25 Hybrid 4K against and 25 EB 4K, up to the IKE Tunnel, it will not be very close.

The EB starts with almost a 100 extra HP and turbos adapt to the high altitude much better than normally aspirated engines.

True. But that's not the point here.

Predictive Speed Assist is speed sign recognition and turn assist. They used that term on the 2025 Escape and will be using that terminology instead of Speed Sign Recognition. That feature was not on the 22-24MY ACC.

That feature is on my 23 Bronco Sport Outerbanks. I always wondered why the left it off the Maverick.

2.2k seems steep for AWD but the jump from XLT fwd to AWD seems next to nothing. This pricing makes zero sense. If it remains here is my theory. XL to be dominant in FWD where as XLT in AWD because why wouldn't you spend that extra 1k to go from XL awd to XLT AWD.

And the flip side is NA engines lose about 3% hp for every 1,000ft of altitude. the hybrid can handle the Ike but it won't be in The Fast Lane
Heck I had a F150 302ci that had 139hp, now that was painful.

OK, wasn't sure..

But, by dropping "Cactus/Fighter Jet" Gray, means ALL of the "Clay" colors are gone...
Back to "Metallics" AGAIN...
