If so how does that link up with the PTU, any worries about extra load on the ECVT?

Yes, If you want a truck with a Manual Tranny go get the Toyota. It is that simple, nothing more, nothing less.

They beefed up the transmission in the new AWD version. Guessing it's the HF55.

Sorry in advance I didn't read through all the pricing and I'm not that schooled in Ford's order process. So now that the hybrid is standard again does that mean the $1,500 surcharge is gone and if so does that mean the AWD hybrid ,assuming a $2200 charge for AWD, is only about $700 more like for like than a 2024 FWD hybrid? I realize they've added some different standard equipment but has anybody figured out how much more an XLT AWD hybrid with some added equipment standard is compared to the 2024 XLT hybrid?

Im interested to know what they did to the hybrid drivetrain for the AWD 4K. Surely they didnt just leave it the same... When the battery gets drained on long uphill climbs and you are down to just a normally aspirated 4 cyl its going to be begging for mercy with a full load. Hopefully they beefed up the battery or something as Im serious considering the hybrid 4k AWD.

I don't think it could get drained completely. The engine kicks in to re-charge. So the gas engine and electric engine would be working together to maintain power and charnge. The gas engine would be runing at a hi

No FX/4 package on Hybrid AWD is a bummer. That FX/4 package is a steal for the 800 dollar price tag. Not to have it in a AWD Maverick is an easy pass for me, I'm afraid.

Digital pushbuttons only for HVAC controls is a hard pass for me.

Not sure why fixed position projector headlamps are limited to Lariat and Tremor. Not like they are something new or cutting edge, even anything special. Been around for over 25 years now in various cars. Maybe even longer, I dunno.

Not a fan of the blue accents in the XLT but understand why they did it.

Love the idea of a larger screen, SYNC4 and most likely brighter. The larger productivity screen is a very nice upgrade as well. Again hate the idea of integrated digital pushbuttons. They are a bad idea all the way around and contribute to distracted driving. Something, at my age I cannot and should not be doing at any level.

Will I buy a '25? Not unless something happens to my 23 FX/4 then what choice will I have? Gotta have a Mav, right?

I agree that the blue accents on the XLT do not look good. I loved the orange and everyone that has been in my truck loved the orange contrasting colors. Now it's all just blue with more blue...

I'll probably be ordering one tomorrow. I'll miss my cactus grey, but I think eruption green will look good, depending on the interior trim. The jump to 4K towing means I can start planning on getting a long lusted after Casita trailer (2800ishlbs).

Glad I have my 23, because while the larger screen is nice I hate the reduced physical buttons

I don’t mind a larger screen. Like buttons as well. That photo shop screen looks worse than the off center one now. If it gets a larger screen then the entire area of dash should be redesigned.

Why?

Your current hybrid could tow 4k today on good pavement. The AWD will help mostly on dirt/gravel roads.

It's not a huge difference (except for the people who tow on those dirt/gravel or snowy roads).

I am not fond of Ford calling Adaptive Cruise Control 'Co-pilot 360 Assist 2.0', but there you have it.

ACC is standard on the trims you mention and it is not available on any other trims including XLT.

CoPilot 360 which includes automatic emergency braking, lane keeping and several other safety features is optional on XL and XLT.
