Has anyone had their infotainment system freeze, and not be able to reset it? Happened to me twice in the last month. Even shutting the truck off for 10 minutes does not help. I have contacted NHTSA about this because the backup camera does not work during that failure. Only shutting it off overnight works. First issue I've had.

Yes. I've been able to reset it. But then it will freeze again. This happens when I plug my phone in for the map. The screen also gets very hot.

NHTSA has called me back about this, and they are opening a case. If more people report the issue (which the dealer "can't duplicate" because after sitting all night it resets) we can get Ford to come up with a fix.

Mine is frozen in the mornings and then 'wakes up' about 10 minutes later...I think it's to do with my wireless phone link and I have it defaulting to the last used input...but the reverse camera's not affected. NHTSA is safe from me, for now.

Hello, I would like to take a further look into your camera concerns on my end. Could you please send us a message with your VIN and mileage?

Mine got stuck on the back up camera screen even after switching to Drive. It took about a minute before the infotainment system reset itself back to normal. Only happened once so far.

Mine was stuck on the nav map, and the back up camera couldn't come on. That's a safety issue.

Dropped my 24 Lariat at the dealer for this issue today. Rep
said there is an info update; but the tech was not able to install the update. Dealer is keeping it for another day so they can contact Ford. Only had the reset failed to work once. The backup camera worked when the screen was blank This does not sound good. How is this possible. Seems more than just an update issue. Will post again tomorrow.
UPDATE: Picked the Mav up at 10:40, Of course the screen worked just fine for the dealer. According to invoice the tech did the "....24B47B UPDATE ADIM SOFTWARE...." Worked fine on drive to store and home. Temps were between 100 and 105 deg, and Mav was parked in sum for about 30 min while I shopped; no screen issues.

I had this happen two weeks ago. I had to reset the infotainment system with the play and FF buttons to shut it down.

When I did a reset, sometimes it lasted for a day or two. And sometimes only until the next drive. Did not have this issue until temps started to get to 110 deg.

Be sure to report the issue at: https://www.nhtsa.gov/

Yes, and I reported to nhtsa months ago. They are now actively investigating this issue and I have pointed them to other threads on this issue on MTC.

"I am an investigative engineer with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. One of my responsibilities is to follow up with owners whose motor vehicles have issues that are reported to NHTSA (http://www.nhtsa.gov/). As part of my analysis, I gather as much information as possible surrounding the event. This allows the agency to fully evaluate the technical issues. I am reaching out to follow up on a complaint we received from you regarding your Ford Maverick.

Can you please confirm if you have continued to experience the issue since submitting your complaint? Have you received a diagnosis or any repairs from your dealership relating to this issue? Additionally, can please provide me with a good time this week for a short follow-up phone call?
"

What really blows my mind is how many hybrid owners report really insane safety issues (like suddenly shutting down in the middle of busy interstates) to MTC but don't report them to NHTSA.
