Maverick at Cars & Coffee?

We have a couple of “CARS & COFFEE” shows locally. How odd would it be to showcase my new 2024 XLT Hybrid when it arrives in August - among the various classic, unique and show cars?

Has anyone rolled out their Maverick Hybrid in car shows and what was the feedback?

I usually bring my 67 Shelby GT500 to the local cars and coffee but I have brought my 2023 Mav XLT hybrid also. It gets a few looks and some questions. A few guys bring their new Broncos and F150 Powerboost.
I'm a car guy, like old and new vehicles.

I have been to cars and coffee in orlando with my maverick . had numerous people interested in it and looked it over . answered numerous questions . only went when temperatures were cooler .

Like @sanpablo, I usually take my classic (C-2 Corvette) to our local C&C. Back in March, I took the Mav and it went practically unnoticed. I think most people just thought it was a Ranger.

I still cant get on board with the cars and coffee trend. Mostly because I hate coffee. It just smells so bad, cant figure how people drink it. I prefer cruise-in nights myself. Whatever.

Anyways as someone who bleeds motor oil, I have a policy, if you arent doing something different with your car, then you are just blending in with everybody else. Thats boring, dont do it. Take your hybrid there, and open the hood. Show off those orange cables. Put some aviators on the dash, roll all the windows down, put something big and funny in the bed like a old scwinn bike or a giant stuffed animal from the county fair. Put the tailgate down park your butt on it and tell your life story to anyone who walks by. If no one wants to look at it or talk about it, just sit there with pride knowing that maybe someone driving by in a Maverick would notice you and be inspired, and potentially join you next month. Now you started a trend, and you will be remembered for it.

Better a 67 than 69. How on earth they went from one of the best looking cars ever made 68.5 gt500 to a meh in 69.
Btw my mom has a 68.5 gt500kR. So I’m biased.
Agree I like the old and new stuff. Just for different reasons.

Any Shelby from 65 to 69/70 looks good to me I've always been a 67 Mustang fan, owned 5 over the years. Any 65 to 70 Mustang is good. The 71 to 73 has grown on me (didn't like them when they first came out) I even have grown to like the Mustang II. Basically a Mustang fan boy, 65 to 2024, lol

Not saying they are bad but the 69-70’s style fits the Mach 1 better. Just a stark difference between 68.5 and 69.
I’d take any of them but I prefer the 65-68.5 styling better

I have taken mine to a couple shows this year and I get more interest in it than I though I would. But I only park in the show lot if it is free and will move if the lot starts to get full.

I used to take my Velocity Blue ‘22 Hybrid to the Novato California C&C and got a little attention. Traded it in for a ‘23 Cactus Gray Hybrid and don’t get as much attention. But it may be that there are many more around here now.

That's the good - or bad - thing about C&C. You can "showcase" ANY DAMN THING YOU WANT there. I went there in the Dallas area for years. My only complaint was all the walking in the heat. I showed my Triumph TR3B, then later my 2004 Ford Retrobird. And there are always a few "for sale" cars there. Then again, I am a car nut, and ANY car show is fun. That said, I AM tired of new Corvettes.

I just put my 24 Mav in a car meet yesterday and got a few people asking about it. Cars and coffees are for all car enthusiasts so go for it

Been to one show with mine the day took delivery. No one had ever seen one in person. I'm going to have a mustang meet at the shop. Maybe I'll do a maverick meet.
