Forscan - Programming to allow key to be locked in truck

I have a 24 Maverick Hybrid and hoping someone can help me program my truck to allow me to lock my key in my truck. Right now if the key is in the truck and I press the lock button on the door and close it, the truck will give me a double honk to let me know that the key is in the truck and it will unlock the door. I know this is an odd request but I want to be able to keep my key locked in the truck while riding dirt bikes and use my door keypad to get in. I'm familiar with Forscan, I just need to know where to find that setting. Thank you in advance.

Lariat or XL, XLT?. lariat has keyless start and xl/xlt do not. Ill look for this coding for u

Read the post that tells you to use the key pad on the door. (If you have one). It tells the truck that you think you know the combo to unlock to get back in and want to lock truck with key inside.

Wow this worked. So if I use the door button or key fob, it doesn't work but it works with the keypad. Thanks so much everyone.

Definitely good idea to have a physical key hidden in case 12v battery gets low or something else?

Pushing the 7/8 - 9/0 buttons together will lock the door it does on all ford keypads since the 90’s

I knew that but didn't know that it would eliminate the double honk and unlock when leaving the key inside the truck.....

It does not honk the horn, unless you push the bottom buttons twice quickly.

I think I get it.
I just tested it out. I threw my keys inside the truck, close the door and push the two bottom buttons on the door pad. It locked the truck and did not sound the horn.
I repeated it, by putting my keys back in the truck closing the door pushing the buttons twice. It locked the truck and it sounded the horn.
I use that feature when I take the dogs to the lake.

Sometimes you just got to try things out. Even if you leave a window down while you're doing it just in case.

On your second test, my truck actually UNLOCKS in addition to locking
