Yes I have, there are plenty of other Ford cars and trucks that have there computers under the hood. The risk of even having a front end accident on the driver side would render the truck potentially paralyzed.

I do have more protection now under the hood as well. If you increase the tire size you could potentially rubber the fender which is where the computer is.

I bent my bracket to fit the area. I believe this vendria94 made it work as well. Hid first picture is from under the horn.

Disconnected , on mine .
All the plugs from the ecu and a few from the transmission including a chassis ground from the harness have to be unplugged , re routed around the front fender support horn ( painted chassis support from unibody frame section to lower crash bar)the ground gets relanded higher up under airbox with existing other harness ground and after de- tangling and rerouting other plugs to new area , all gets plugged back in and battery reconnected and airbox put back in.
