2022 Maverick XL awd service scam?

Brought my Mav into service because I notice black chunks in coolant res. Also a rear end issue. Dealer told me I put water in my coolant and recommended a flush for 179 bucks and said I put the wrong size tires in truck and it would be north of a 1000 bucks for new tires and alignment. Now these are the factory tires and I have never added coolant. They said my truck is done come get it. No warranty service. This feels like a scam to me. Truck is near 36,000. Where can I go to get honest service in SW Florida.

I have only had recall and maintenance done but am happy with DeSoto Ford so far.

So they are saying the factory tires that you never replaced are the wrong size? Id turn them in to the better business bureau.

Ordered truck from Ford. Tires are factory Continentals. I have a wooble when I make a right hand turn tuat goes away pretty fast then smooth. Tires have been rotated every 10,000 miles. Tires have about 20,000 miles left.

No worries. Won't be doing anything in Ft. Myers that's Ford-related.

I’d say document your side and start with the service manager to set them straight, take it up with Ford. Sounds like they’re just trying to pad their income with unnecessary repairs.

Hi Robert - Your vehicle is all finished. They chunks in the coolant is dried up coolant that has formed on the sides, then water or coolant has been added at some point and there are flakes of old coolant in the reservoir. Recommend a coolant flush $176 . The Wobble that you are experiencing is due to the tires. The Technician is recommending all 4 tires to be replaced & an alignment He did also mention the tires are a different size than recommended and that may also be causing a problem. The Tires you have now $1026 includes alignment or we have Michelins $1226 includes alignment. Otherwise the vehicle is finished and ready to be picked up

179.00 I would do this nyself if I felt this was normal. Also had someone I know who had 2.0T in a Lincoln told her it was a cracked head and would cost thousands. So she bought a Toyota. Opinions....
