23 ford maverick, live in s. Florida, 2400 miles on truck. Had truck 6 mts.
Rubber on windshield wipers is soft, pliable, nor discolored, or any rubber deterioration.
Only drove in the rain once since having the truck. It rained about a week ago and thats when the vibration of wipers began.
When wipers are turned on without water on window there is no vibration (I did this for a quick test).
After running wipers with water on the windows the vibration of the wiper blade rubber begins to vibrating up and down and losing contact with window surface.
I called Ford auto nation, margate, fl. Told them my experience and asked for help. He said wipers in South Florida are only good for 6 mths. Where did that data come from?
Dealer said if you bring it in, then I would be charged for evaluation even though it could be something other then wiper material.
So, did someone reading this have this experience? What manufacturer and model of wiper specifically did you buy that solved issue I am having? Did wiper last more then 6 mths.? Thank you reading this.
I never had this issue with cars i have been driving. I am now 70 years old.
