I can second that recommendation on the X15. I love mine tooMy days of hauling yard debris are over. I let the lawn cutting service deal with it. The tonneau cover is the X15. I was drawn to it because of the cloth cover rather than vinyl. I also appreciate the lifetime warranty. I have had the cover on three different Mavericks. I’ve experienced minimal leaks from a hard driven rain entering at the upper corners of the tailgate. I have never noticed any significant flutter at highway speeds. It’s tight. I recommend it.
Thanks! Looks like I got some measuring to do.If you're looking for the tailgate steps a little cheaper and faster shipping, Amazon has the same ones here:
Amazon.com: AA Products Aluminum Omni-Directional Tailgate Ladder Rack with Wide Pedal and Handrail for Truck Easy Install Durable Ladder Rack Capacity 300 lbs(USPTO Patent Pending) : Automotive
How do you get to be one of those people? Can you go register somewhere? Not really. I was invited by Amazon to join their program for providing blind product reviews for items that their sellers offer up. I get to keep the items I choose to review, The value, normally the selling price of the product, is reported to the IRS by Amazon as income to me. I end up paying whatever is the appropriate tax rate for my adjusted gross income. That means I’m getting about an 80% discount on many items. I only wish I could order up what I want instead of being limited to what sellers are offering up for reviews.
Having spent most of my time on my new ‘24 hybrid XLT tricking out the interior, over the last several days I turned my attention to the truck bed and surrounding. What I have completed includes:
- Installing a tailgate mounted step ladder
- Mounting Molle panels to both truck bed side walls
- Installing a four gang switch panel with 12V and USB power outlets to the cubby storage doorr
- Adding a 30”x13”x10” aluminum truck bed storage box
- Adding a ratcheting adjustable bed divider bar
- Mounting my telescoping truck bed grab bar to a side wall
- Switching out the OEM third brake light unit for a third party blacked out replacement
- Adding a blacked out trim ring surround to the tailgate Ford emblem
- Applying raised black tailgate letters
- Adding a bed mat over the OEM DIBL
- Adding a color coordinated carbon fiber stubby antenna
- Installing Muslogy’s truck bed cargo net
- Installing a tailgate support strut
- Added a blacked out American flag hitch receiver insert cover

There is a new version of the ladder that has two much easier release attachments that makes it easier to remove the ladder. I have looked at all the AliExpress and Amazon ladders and this was the best ladder that I saw...mainly due to the wide steps for safety of placing your feet...but decided to stick with my folding $20 Harbor Freight stool due to minimal need for getting in the bed.Would you be able to find the right sized ball lock pins to make the ladder a quick release item?![]()
