I spent more than a few hours over the years pulling the tail lights and spraying bar & chain oil inside the rear quarter to keep my Ranger from rotting out like that. It was an endless battle.

That was the curse of that particular model. I had the same problem with my Datsun 210 station wagon. I had it Z-barted when brand new, but that spot above the rear wheel well still rotted. Z-bart's claim was that it "sprays the interior surface of every exterior surface." Z-bart admitted that there was no way that they could get to the inside of that surface, no matter how many holes they drilled. I suspect that that is also the case for Rusty. That little 210 was a great little automobile.
