very interesting. How easy/difficult is it to repeatedly install and uninstall? And any idea hie well it keeps water put during good rain? I do t think I would want it on all the time. But I make a couple of long trips a year and could see wanting it for those trips if it keeps water out better. Also interested to hear what it does to your mileage. Thanks for posting.

Nice shell, indeed.
If you're not used to hills 'n curves and you're taking it through the Arkansas Ozarks, that should plenty of stress for it (and for you)!
Howdy Ozarkbeard, are you getting ready for the eclipse? I think I’m going to the farm to watch it and stay a few days roaming the back roads getting my Mav muddy so I’ll get my moneys worth when I take it to be detailed in a few weeks.

99% totality here, but I'ma go down to Ola/Plainview in the River Valley to watch it. The magnitude will be 1.027% coverage of the sun.
I have family down there. Hope it isn't cloudy that day.

Looks like Imboden is very near the 100% totality line.

Seems very easy to install/uninstall even on my own. 3 tie downs on each side of the bed.

I noticed a couple of air gaps where the bed rails shape make it difficult to form a seal. I’ve bought some weather stripping to seal that up. Going to do that tomorrow before the drive to Arkansas on Friday.

Yea imboden is just about perfect for seeing the eclipse. We’ve got 160 acres out about 2 miles from town on a gravel road with a 2 bedroom house ,so a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the view. Y’all take care on the trip to the valley.

Haven’t been down there in the Maverick yet…did it several year ago with my wife’s Mercedes GLC she had at the time.

Was lots of fun! There’s lots of great roads in that area.

Very easy. I take mine off weekly. It takes about 5 minutes to put on or take off. Water gets in where the topper meets the cabin. There's a bulb seal that can be installed to reduce water getting in. No reduction in my mileage.
Wow! That really looks great! Maybe the best looking shell on a Maverick💪👍
I'd argue the best looking shell is the cab high version.

The company mentioned they are developing a camping extension for the Maverick topper…

I’d debated getting that one, but wanted the extra height and side windows.
