When I brought the Maverick, the salesman was assisting in setting up my cell phone with Fordpass app. When he learned wife had Fordpass on her phone for her Escape, it was a link for my cell. Ok, we got my cell phone setup for Fordpass to the Maverick.

Over time, I had no issue just clicking Fordpass and the program open ok, and I could use it. Few weeks ago, clicked the app, it opened asking sign in and password. I not had ready assess to password, so alternative sign in pop up. After few buttons clicked, think I erased my phone connection towards the Maverick. OMG.

So my wife and I tried to get my phone to work with the Maverick using account on her phone. No dice.

So call to help here before I return to dealer for assistance. In nut shell, I really want to get the Maverick off my wife’s phone, account, just do my own. When pulling up her app, her phone, see both her Escape and the Maverick. Need to click one to engage Fordpass to whichever clicked.

Do I delete my phone Fordpass app, start over?
Do I delete the Maverick notation in my wife’s phone?

Funny part was I trying to check my 42,000 purchase points on my phone. Not there. The program shows an account number. So called the Fordpass contact number. Turns out the points was in my wife’s phone app stuff! WTH.

l am hoping for any assistance from others who might have suggestions how to correct this snafu. Thanks

On a computer, go to>
https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle-dashboard
  • Login with your wife's account.
  • Open the drop-down on the left that shows VINs.
  • Click "Add Vehicle"
  • Click "Remove Vehicle" and choose yours
  • Log out and log back in with your account
  • Add your vehicle to your account
Not intuitive, I know. But so much crap online isn't.

IF the above doesn't work, get your dealer to straighten it out.

Thanks. In most cases, my wife not lets me touch her phone. She could prob do it but zips thru whatever, snd loses the way. I think I resign in letting dealer get involved. I have to get oil change soon, so will seize opportunity to work with them.

Leave your wife's phone alone. Delete the app off your phone. Go to your laptop or computer and sign into your wife's account. Delete YOUR vin# from the list.

Now install the app on your phone. Create your OWN profile with your vin#. You should be good to go.

Sometimes trying to fix things using the apps on phones only messes things up. I always go online to fix any "app on the phone" mess ups. This should work. Going the dealer may create more of a mess. Just my two cents.

They did the same with my wife's points. Months and months later and our guess is Ford does not know how to correct it. Her points are still on my account. Wish you the best of luck.

Installed wifes new ford maverick floor mats yesterday that we got for free with the ford pass points. The mats look great with white maverick lettering.

My thoughts too. Copied your suggestion, emailed it to my email address for easy reference. Might try that.

You can't fix this from the phone. Go to a computer sign in delete your Mav from her account, then sign into your account and add it back in. Don't delete the app from your phone!

Finally persuaded her to do my truck delete on her iPad, but I had to get to her her PW # info.

then had to do tricks on cell phone, and at the truck info screen.

connectivity on now!

Yes, it's tricky to get all the pieces to fit. Sometimes it's best to start at ground zero. Ford likely did us a favor by not including wireless Android and CarPlay. One more set of pieces added to the mix.
