The KLIM Nomad just cost me about $53 online after I saw really great reviews for it. It is a rechargeable lithium battery powered small portable that has Bluetooth and immediately paired and played through my 2023 XLT factory stereo. It also does wired or Bluetooth headphones or speakers. WAY less than the $225-$239 for others mentioned here for working with our systems.Reviews say the manufacturer has excellent support in case of issues as well. Available through various Amazon vendors among other places.

Great solution and thanks for the tip. I just added it to my cart. I have CD's I love but didn't want something expensive. Is there any issue with skipping when the pavement/ride is rough?

This is great news! I love my CDs, and bought three players that would not interface with the Mavericks Bluetooth. One plays thru the FM, but is of poor quality.

Would you mind posting the link where you acquired your unit?

Have just finished pairing it and listened through Mav system but have not yet driven it any distance nor on rough roads, etc. manual says has 120 second MP3 anti-skip and I think 100 second CD anti-skip. Should handle any roads I would drive while listening. I mostly want for long trips where audio CD books have in the past made the time fly by for me with no notice of the passage of time and many miles. Music CDs will be a plus, though Pandora on my Apple CarPlay connected phone has also worked well through the Mav system for up to 8 hour 1 day trips so far also to date. The KLIM unit reviews show long battery play time but I will probably mostly run it while charging via USB port on console so battery life may not be much of an issue.

I just searched Amazon for KLIM Nomad. Available in several colors for $59.97. Arrived in about 4 days. The Nomad model has Bluetooth that works with Mav system. I just followed the KLIM manual step by step to pair it. Pretty straightforward.

I'm currently burning CD'S to USB drives. Really enjoy the sound quality and the ease of transport. At 76 I have quite a large collection (2500) but about 700 are from stages in life that won't be recorded. Last 15 years listen to a lot of Modern Rock Blues. Have about 1600 burned to a Brennan B3, so transfer to USB should be a snap. Going modern keeps me busy.

Forget CDs. I just burn them all to a file using free rip. My micro thumb drive has 10,000+ of my favorite songs/artists on it. My library is around 35,000 songs now. If you have Sync you can just tell it what you want it to play.

I feel fortunate. All my music library is off my Youtube subscription that I have had for over 10 years now. As I have included my favorite artists over the years, Youtube includes more and more of each of the artists albums. I no longer need my CD's. I literally call up Youtube, tell it to play such and such album, and bam! Its there. From Gospel to Country to Soul to Jazz and Classical. Even has the entire George Winston classical Piano collection.

I was going to skip the KLIM Nomad..but when I saw the wooden appearance on the ones offered on Ebay I got it for 53 bucks total. This should be interesting and hope it goes well! This will look great in the Lariat interior!!

yes it comes with a USB charging cable, a double ended aux cable not usable with the Mac system and an earbud headphone system that works but does not sound as good as the in dash system. It does have a rechargeable Li Ion battery so you can use it as a standalone player or FMstereo or play off a TFmemory card with those earbuds or a set of better sounding headphones or using separate speakers either wired or connected by Bluetooth. Pretty flexible unit. Top lid flip up loading is not as convenient as the front slot loading USB connected $120 unit shown on a response today to my post but that one is twice the cost and not battery powered. BTW: With Bluetooth connection I don’t think the tracks are selectable on screen on the dash display as on that USB connected but more expensive non standalone unit.
