It seems like I saw a setting in Google maps where you can tone down notifications and make it less detailed/annoying.This is true. But sometimes the GPS gives me way too many notifications, and it interrupts the enjoyment of my music.

To new school for me, where is my USB tape deck, 8-track or record player? Now available on Amazon is a CD player that connects to the USB port. It "fools" the info system into thinking it is a thumb drive with music tracks. Just search for a "car USB cd player". Cost is about $55 to $85. I got the more expensive unit so it has 3 methods of play, USB, FM, and aux in. Since I do not have my Mav yet, I cannot say for sure it will work in the Mav (it does in my 21 Mazda). If it does not work, return it. The one requirement is that the car must be able to recognize "WAV" music files; the Mav does. Other suppliers claim their player works in Rangers and F150s; so chances are they will in a Mav. The sound is great, and much better than streaming. If you are happy with streaming than this is not for you.
Update: Works great in my new 24 Lariat (delivered 2 days ago). There is only 1 cord as the unit also gets power from the USB.
Libby form the library is what I use. Sometimes audible when the library doesn't have the book I want. The reason I wanted a CD player is to listen to books, not music, especially on long drives. My local library (yes, I'm old!) still has some amount of audio books I can get for free. So, for $10, I bought one off Amazon. Hooked it up the other day and it works great. There was a square of Velco included, with allowed me to mount it under the dash, about the generally wasted console space. I can still slide my phone into the wireless charging. Never did figure out what the space behind the phone rest could be used for. 2023 Eco Lariat.
CD quality quality exceeds streaming; if you can't tell the difference, that is your problem. To new school for me, where is my USB tape deck, 8-track or record player?

I bought this one and it currently isn’t working on my 25. Pretty bummed. I did buy a “used like new” option so perhaps it’s a dud. Going to try it on a laptop to see if that can read it.I just got this one:

I've only tested it with one disc so far, but it worked fine. You just plug it in to the USB port and then select that from your audio sources options. It doesn't show any track information on the screen (at least not with the CD I played). It just shows track number and total number of tracks.
I think it was $68.99 when I ordered it a couple weeks ago. Looks like the price fluctuates.
I only use mine on long road trips, but I just used it yesterday and it still works fine. I bought mine new and my Maverick is a '24, but that shouldn't make a difference if a USB audio source is an option for '25s.I bought this one and it currently isn’t working on my 25. Pretty bummed.
