454 miles on the odometer & then...oh deer

Hit a deer 3 blocks from home. Thankfully it was only in a 35 mph zone but my hood, driver side headlight, fender, and both doors are jacked. I'm pissed to say the least after waiting 14 months for my Maverick. The deer was put down due having broken back legs.

Update: I finally got my truck back after 6 weeks in the shop. Parts took a while to get. The headlight and fender were replaced. Both doors were repaired. They did a phenomenal job. I haven't got the final invoice yet, but it should be right around 6k. The BAP headlight was $1600 alone.

I know it is of little consolation but that is nice deer that many a hunter would salivate over. Its antlers could have easily punched some holes in the Mav I shot a doe last night. I did not really plan on it, but ten deer came out in my field, and I thought back to their efforts to ravage my garden this year and pulled the trigger. The local food bank is happy to get the meat.

That’s what I was thinking. Definitely sorry about @bighap ’s Mav and glad it wasn’t worse but that’s one less buck raiding his neighborhoods gardens.

I'm surprised that you don't have more damage than that. Say $3k for a headlight assembly, doorskin, labor and paint, and maybe a 2-month wait for the parts to arrive.
