That looks great. Even though I have a sprayed in bedliner I wanted some kind of mat since I have old knees. This might do the trick. I think I have one like this in the basement.

$40 sounds a lot better than $100+. And nothing is going to slide on that baby.

Looks great and easy on those of us with older knees. For what is worth in your tonneau cover search, this is what I ordered. Don't know how it fits yet, my Maverick (CGM Lariat Hybrid) just unloaded from the railcar this morning. It's only 70 miles from home now.

It sounds better because it's cheaper. It's a good DIY solution, for sure. I just think when push comes to shove; 5 years from now, you'll wish you had just got the Ford stuff with your points. No regrets here on the $200+ Ford solution (Maverick bed mat + tailgate liner). And it holds my beer...and my other stuff...

Not knocking the OP at all. It's a good DIY solution. I'm just sayin' look at the long term and decide if it's really worth the savings.

After someone posted this, I jumped on it. Next purchase will be a Tonneau cover. This mat is $40 at HomeDepot. Cut it to fit. Used existing bolts and double stick tape for the tail gate. It is an all weather mat. I can roll it out to remove any excess water when it happens.

Neat install and you can't beat the price. Also, easy to replace.

Nice job!

I also thought about it, but I have no idea how to cover the side wall.......

The side wall is irregular surface, I do have no idea how to cover it.
He used the word "liner" in the title, but he meant "mat". He is not putting anything on the sides. He also made a tailgate "mat".

It's always great when someone tries something and it turns out nicely enough to inspire others to venture out on their own to do something similar. It turned really great, and at forty dollars, if you made a mistake or later changed your mind, you're not out a couple hundred.
What's also nice is if you don't often load your bed with things which are messy; like dirt, stone, sand.... It's a great way to protect the bed, and something which is easily removeable if you do need to clean it.

Fellow guys with older knees, this is pretty cheap @ $14 and protects your knees pretty well no matter what kind of liner/mat you have. Pretty soft and works great. I've had one for a few years for projects around the house and bought a second one just to keep in my Maverick.

I have one of these and they are worth every penny and then some. I like the idea of keep one in the Maverick.

I would worry of the mat flying away at highway speed because of turbulence. nice looking otherwise

you make a good point, and there's really not anything else in the ford accessory list that I want so I should probably burn my ford points on a mat. Just have to wait for them to get back in stock.

Looks good! I would maybe drill some drainage holes in the bottom part to prevent possible moisture from being trapped under there.
