Installed the Escape digital dual HVAC control today in my 23 Lariat Hybrid

So, I purchased a like new 2021 Escape Hybrid Dual Digital Control Module for my 23 Lariat Hybrid. Ebay for $120 and only 5k miles. Thanks to member 'Milous' for posting some Ford R&R instructions and to 'CaptBanana' for showing a shortcut in recognizing a way to check if you even need to pull the screen and volume knobs out. I did not need to as mine did not have the screw that holds in the front vent panel. The last pic, if you can slide a business card in that spot, there is no hold down screw. You can simply pop the lower vent/trim panel out from the sides with a trim tool. This shortened the total procedure to 15 minutes. Looks great by the way.

Fro some reason, Ford stopped using the digital controls for 23 model year.

Twracing, if you deselect the "Dual" on the passengers control, do both temps continue to display but it changes the passenger side temp to the drivers side value, or does the passenger side temp just go blank?

I have the dual control on my Lariat too, but without the temps on the control, and wondered if turning off the "Dual" syncronized both sides or just turned off the passengers side altogther. Which would seem really dumb.

Yes, if you deselect, it will sync them up and stay lit. If you turn the passenger knob it unsyncs them and gives your passenger some control.

From my MTC searches and others experiences, to reduce chance of needing FORscan try to get a module from a hybrid to hybrid or Eco to Eco.

Plenty of pics of the module including the doner car on the EBay listing. Even it’s working odometer and door and engine stickers. The retail on the part is over $500.
